The search for Brian Laundrie continues as investigators and police try to solve the murder of Gabby Petito.
As true crime fans know, Petito and Laundrie were on a cross-country road trip in her white Ford transit van when she mysteriously went missing.
The couple was doing a tour of multiple national parks and documenting it on social media and YouTube.
Happier Times
After having almost daily contact with her parents, Petito’s family say her text messages stopped abruptly at the end of August.
They officially filed a missing person report on September 11.
Laundrie returned to Florida WITHOUT his fiancée on September 1.
New information has come to light that detail what Laundrie and his parents were doing leading up to his disappearance. His parents filed a missing person report for him on September 14.
In a new report from FOX Newspublished Wednesday, September 22, neighbors of the Laundrie family say the saw him and his parents get in a truck with a camper attached about a week after he returned home alone from his road trip with Petito.
Happy Gabby
Per FOX’s report, Charlene and William Guthrie, who moved to North Port, Florida, this summer, said they told authorities they'd seen Christopher and Roberta Laundrie attach what appeared to be a new camper to their truck and drive off for what the Guthries assumed was a weekend camping trip with their son.
"I saw them doing some work. And then when they prepared for their trip, I saw them loading the camper," William told Fox.
He noted that he found it odd Christopher and Roberta would be going on a camping trip with their adult son in such a small camper.
The Guthries reported the incident to authorities when they came to their home while investigating the disappearance of Petito.
Rest In Peace, Gabby
Tragically, we now know that Petito’s body was found in a Wyoming national park on Sunday, September 19. The body was confirmed to be Petito’s on Tuesday, September 21, and her death has been ruled a homicide.
Today marked the fifth day investigators have been searching for Laundrie in the alligator and snake infested Carlton Reserve.

In addition to the continued search for Laundrie, his parents were spotted leaving their North Port home this morning in Christopher’s red pick-up truck.

It’s unknown where the parents of Laundrie are going and how long they will be gone, but many assume they are trying to get the heck out of dodge.
The Laundrie family lawyer issued a very brief statement following the confirmation of Petito’s death, “May Gabby rest in peace.”
