During the Donald Trump presidency, a lot was made of the time that he spent on the golf course. This was certainly a source of criticism for the President at the time. It’s estimated that President Trump played at least over 260 rounds of golf while he was in the Oval Office. This isn’t a political article though, so we are not going to go anywhere near talk of the implications of that in bla bla bla! What we will go into is what Trump had to do when he couldn’t play golf outside!
Too Much Rain In DC

It rains about 114 days out of the year in DC. You can play in the rain, but if lightning starts up you better start racing back to the clubhouse. With all of those Secret Service cars following behind you. Former President Donald Trump had to figure out a way to keep his golf game sharp in between those rainy days and presidential meetings. So what he did was literally convert a room in the White House into his own personal virtual golf setup. Yes, Trump set up a virtual golf simulator in the White House.
Biden Wasn’t Happen When He Found Out
Regardless of your political opinion if you’re a golf fan you can agree that it’s pretty much every avid golfer’s dream to have virtual golf set up at home. There are just a lot of things that you’re going to be able to do. Test out clubs, new grip techniques. Some of these things can be better looked at in the simulator!
Joe Biden though did not share Trump’s enthusiasm at all! When he found out that there was virtual golf set up in his new house he reportedly said,
“’What a f—— a——,”
How We Know This
There’s a new book out this Tuesday titled “Peril”. It details many of the events of the final Trump days at the White House. While also sprinkling in stories about how the transition to Biden’s presidency went about. Obviously, the book goes into detail about some of the hot political topics of those days. We also get these light-hearted stories to read about. There’s no official word as to whether Biden has taken down the virtual golf equipment. From his reported reaction the answer is probably yes. Who knows though, maybe he holds virtual long drive competitions with the staff on Tuesdays!
Not Everything In The Transition Was Bad
There are certainly a ton of things that went down in the recent transition period between one president to the next that was not ideal. Out of all of the traditions that President Donald Trump broke, there was one that he decided to keep. That was the one about leaving a letter behind to the incoming president. President Biden has acknowledged that there was a letter in the Oval Office for him from Trump. Saying at the time that it was a very generous letter. He would speak about it to Trump the next time he saw him. Maybe he’ll also thank him for the virtual golf equipment that he had set up now in his house in Delaware who knows!
