Kim Kardashian and her team are doing major damage control after it was revealed the reality star planned to build a subterranean bunker into the mountain of her posh Los Angeles-area home.
Last week, The Blast broke the story on Kim’s nasty tiff with a neighbor regarding the construction of her alleged underground vault.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star is currently locked in a battle over the construction of an underground cavern near her Hidden Hills home. In the documents, a neighbor is asking a judge to halt the building claiming the unearthing of the dirt is extremely dangerous, considering the property is located near several high-pressure gas lines.
In the filing, the person claims Kim’s home is going to look like a scene from the movie ‘Richie Rich’ if she is allowed to go through with the project. Not only is she building the underground vault — but she is also allegedly constructing a subterranean “wellness center” and an underground parking structure. Plus, she is adding a detached guardhouse to the property.
The neighbors fired off several legal letters after learning she is planning on cutting and filling over 5,000 cubic yards of dirt in connection with the project. If allowed to go forward, one neighbor is complaining that the Hidden Hills Association will be allowed for Kim to “flatten two hills” and compacting dirt which is built on “top of two high-pressure gas transmission lines.”
Contrary to the legal documents filed, Kim and co. are now DENYING that construction on an underground vault is taking place … but refuse to say what construction is going down.

An unnamed source close to Kim told TMZ the star has gone through the proper channels with the homeowner’s association to build on her property. However, the outlet also reported they have no clue what she is building – and apparently did not press Kim’s team for an answer – but it’s clear they are trying to backtrack from the Richie Rich family vault that Kim’s neighbors are going nuts about.
Kim and Kanye West bought the house in 2014 for $20 million, but they immediately started renovating the 15,000-square-foot mansion. The renovations have been going on for the past six years and now the house is worth an estimated $65 million.
As many Kardashian-West fans know, the famous couple is currently going through a divorce. Kim filed papers in February after Kanye went off on his wife, mother-in-law and Kim’s family on Twitter.
During his presidential campaign, ‘Ye made a slew of horrific accusations and statements targeted at Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner.
He compared Kris to the Superior Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un, calling her “Kris Jong-Un.”
Kanye also revealed he and Kim considered aborting their first child, North West, and accused his wife of cheating on him with Meek Mill.
Come to find out years later, it was actually Kanye who cheated on Kim after the birth of their first two children.
