Actor Jason London has just had another brush with the law, this time reportedly being arrested for public intoxication in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
The ‘Dazed And Confused’ star was booked on Wednesday after police behind the wheel of a 2010 Nissan Maxima that was stuck in a ditch. The famous actor was pulled from the vehicle and officers allegedly smelled alcohol on his breath, he couldn’t keep his balance, in addition to having slurred speech.
Shockingly, the car was also on FIRE, so the situation could have been much worse.
During an investigation of the incident, cops believe the actor swerved off of the road and ran over a street sign. At that point, he allegedly got back on the road and hit a concrete object before driving himself into a ditch. At the time, the actor reportedly had a passenger in the car, but it appears no one was injured.
After cops arrived, they say London’s passenger was standing near the car and it sustained heavy damage on the passenger side of the vehicle. The ‘Dazed And Confused’ star told officers someone had sideswiped them and run them off of the road and into the ditch.
In the end, Jason was arrested for public intoxication and leaving the scene of an accident. Incredibly, when they got to Jackson County to book him into the system, cops claim he was too drunk and they were unable to fingerprint him properly.
As for why he wasn’t arrested for a DUI, a spokesperson for the Ocean Springs Police Department says it is the officer’s discretion to charge for DUI, and in this case, the officers didn’t actually witness him driving. So, they decided to arrest him on a host of other charges including public intoxication.
You recall, Jason played football star Randall ‘Pink’ Floyd alongside Matthey McConaughey in the massive hit movie, ‘Dazed And Confused.’
This isn’t the first time London has had issues with the law. Back in 2013, Jason was arrested for disorderly conduct and assault after a violent bar fight in Scottdale, Arizona. According to reports, on the night in question cops were called to the Martini Ranch bar in Scottsdale, where they got a call about a man bleeding on the street.
After arriving, officers say they witnessed Jason nursing a swollen eye. Cops spoke to a bouncer at the bar who told him Jason had been inside of the club, walked by him, and sneezed on him. The bouncer asked for an apology, and Jason allegedly punched him in the face.
The actor was eventually thrown out of the bar, and paramedics were called to treat him on the scene.
According to reports, the actor dropped homophobic slurs and defecated in the police car. He reportedly said, Guess what fa–ot? I f—ing love this. I f—ing own you guys so hard. I’m rich and I’m a motherf—ing famous actor! F—ing look me up, b—h.”
