Lady Gaga’s dog walker is breaking his silence in his first interview since he was shot in the chest while walking her three French bulldogs earlier this year.
Ryan Fischer is a dog lover and a devoted dog caretaker. He had been caring for Gaga’s fur babies for years; however, one routine evening walk with the three pups changed his life forever.
Back in February, Fischer was walking Gaga’s three Frenchies at night in Hollywood, California when he was approached by two masked men. The men were trying to rob him of the three dogs, but Fischer put up a fight.

Unfortunately, one of the masked men had a gun and shot him in the chest, and the thieves were able to make off with two of the three dogs.
Gaga’s black, female Frenchie, Angel, was able to escape from the dognappers.
The bullet pierced Fischer’s lung and he was rushed to the ER.
Fortunately, he lived to tell the tale and is currently recovering from the mental, physical and emotional injuries.
In a new interview with “CBS Mornings,” Fischer sits down with Gayle King to discuss the night that changed his life.
Life has forever changed.
CBS released a sneak peek of the interview in which you’ll see Fischer and King sitting outside on a park bench discussing his chance of survival.
“It was a severe one shot. And when I went back, cause I had to go back to the hospital a second time to have the surgery cause my lung had collapsed, the people in the ER who I’d seen that night told me that they didn’t think I was gonna survive that night, he explained. “So and I had felt that, cause I had, I was very awake during, while they were operating on me that night. But just to hear them say it, it was, it makes it more real.”

Back in March, Fischer took to his Instagram to let fans know that despite being discharged from the hospital, he was going to be readmitted for a “strange hissing and glugging” sound coming from his chest.
“A doctor visit and x-ray followed, and soon after I was whisked to the same ER where I had been only a week earlier: my lung had collapsed, and air was filling up my chest cavity,” he wrote.
He explained that his lung didn’t collapse just once, it was multiple times.
“It became quite clear that my lung was not healing, and the bullet wound had scarred my tissue like a burn,” he wrote. “It could take months, if ever, for the hole to seal.”

Following his terrifying, near-death experience, Fischer took a two-month sabbatical cross country.
He documented the journey on his Instagram and wrote, “With just me, Trudy, 3 stuffed animals that resemble dogs I care for very much, and WAY too many personal items, across the US we teetered along for two months. At times I was scared. I was lonely. I felt abandoned and unsupported.
Many of Gaga fans were extremely upset with her after reading these claims. The Blast previously reported that he started his own GoFundMe page after claiming he is homeless, running out of savings, and “surviving on donations from generous loved ones.”
His post continued, “All that time spent reclaiming my body, I now needed to be equally devoted to strengthening my emotional and mental health. Having that understanding helped me frame what I need from the rest of this sabbatical: getting a van and exploring this country while seeking out communities that support the process of growing from trauma. For me, this includes retreat centers, trauma programs, queer healers, creatives and spiritual leaders. And I can’t wait to honestly share in the process and heal with you all along for the ride through writings, discussions and quirky videos (and maybe an interpretive dance or two).”
