Oh no, say it isn’t so. American Horror Story fan favorite Sarah Paulson has a feeling that the current season 10 of the FX show will be her last.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with co-guest Lisa Rinna of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the actress shared the upsetting news when she was asked by host Andy Cohen what her next Ryan Murphy role would be.
“I don’t know,” she claimed. Pointing out that season 10 titled Double Feature would “probably” be her last.
Say What??
Paulson has been on every season of the popular show except for one. She has played a number of odd characters including conjoined twins in Freak Show, a psychiatric patient in Asylum, and a witch in Coven, among many other roles.

However, seeing as the pandemic put a pause on a lot of things, Paulson is just going with the flow and hasn’t heard or pushed for any news from her friend Murphy. “It’s the first time in about three years where I don’t know. I think this is my last season of Horror Story, probably. I mean, I don’t know,” she pondered.
Co-guest Rinna looked just as shocked as Cohen and Paulson herself for even uttering the words. However, she quickly back-peddled pointing out that it is hard for her to resist a good role and the writer/director always presents her with something intriguing.
“Every time he comes to me with some wackadoodle-stoodle character, I tend to be like, ‘Yes! Let’s do it!’ So, I don’t know. This is the first time. So, we’ll see.”
She’s Booked Anyway
Besides, she is busy promoting the latest Ryan Murphy project she is in, Impeachment: American Crime Story, where he stars as the late Linda Tripp, an American civil servant.
At the time the show takes place, Tripp was a White House employee who allegedly encouraged Monica Lewinsky to come forward about her affair with Bill Clinton during his time as President of the United States. The actress touched on how weird it was to play the well-known and slightly hated figure.
When asked by a viewer what she would have asked Tripp before she passed away, the star said she had so many questions but wanted to know if she felt regret. Paulson pointed out that she assumed she felt a little bit of regret after doing thorough research on her for two years.
What About The Clinton’s?
Paulson also shared with Cohen after he prompted her of course, that she nor, Murphy or anyone else involved with the series have heard from any of the Clinton family. No surprise there.
Cohen and Paulson joked about that “never happening” with the talk show host making sure to solidify that 'no' by adding a resounding “never ever”.

One Last Time... Maybe
As for the actress allegedly not coming back, never say never, well, in this circumstance at least. She coyly explained that she truly has not heard anything and is just as lost as anyone else. It wasn't too long ago that Murphy also claimed that season 10 would be his last but he then soon after signed with FX for three more seasons.

If he can change his mind, so can Paulson. Cohen also pointed out to the actress, that she is the show creator's “muse” and let’s be honest, what else is she going to do? Murphy gives her so much range, why give that up?
