The Met Gala guest list was star-spangled this year. This meant there were many celebrity couples walking the red carpet.
While the Met Gala 2021 did look a little different this year with COVID-19 restrictions and safety protocols in place, it was still a glitzy affair.
A-listers threw on their best American-inspired couture for the occasion, and the celeb couples looked cuter than ever.
In its 75th year, the Met Gala looked a little different from previous balls. For the first time in history, all guests were vaccinated against COVID-19. Masks were made compulsory and the food on offer was fully vegan.

Most notably, couples were kept at a minimum. It only reiterated one thing—times are really changing.
Although this new order was to ensure the health and safety of all guests involved, it did mean a reduced number of guests.

Also, the number of looks was at a smaller and more intimate scale. Even though there were only a few ‘romantic’ couples who were in attendance, the Met Gala still served countless cute and romantic moments with our favorite stylish pairs.
Below are our favorite dynamic duos on the Met Gala red carpet that would have you saying #CoupleGoals.
Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez, who is a frequent celebrity at the Met Gala, attended this year’s event with her new beau, Ben Affleck. The duo wasn’t shy to show off some PDA, as they shared a warm and affectionate kiss with their masks still on.
Lopez interpreted the evening’s theme, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” with a nod to the Wild West by sporting a Ralph Lauren gown, wide-brimmed hat, faux fur cape and a leather belt.
According to the designer, It took 15 embroiderers more than 12 days of work to bring out this incredible work of art. Meanwhile, Affleck also looked dapper in a classic tuxedo.
Some days prior to this, Lopez and Affleck made their relationship official on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. The new couple, who were previously engaged from 2002 to 2004, made their red carpet debut like it was the early days. They also sealed their newly-minted reconciliation with a kiss.

Rihanna & ASAP Rocky
It’s a known fact that Rihanna is the Queen of the Met Gala parade. However, this year, she had her King by her side.
On Monday night, the singer attended the stellar event with boyfriend ASAP Rocky. Although this wasn’t their first time walking the red carpet together, it marked their very first Met Gala together since the beginning of their romance in May.
For the special occasion, the pair looked cozier than ever as they wrapped up in oversized parkas. Rihanna kept it classic in terms of color and opted for serene black.
She let the shape of her outfit do the talking; she donned a custom Balenciaga coat, with a huge ruffled collar and floor-skimming train.
Hoping to match his girlfriend’s style, rapper Rocky, chose an oversized quilt coat, bringing a pop of multi-color to the pair’s unusual ensemble.
They also seemed very loved up. The duo couldn’t contain their smiles as they held hands and stared enchantingly into each other’s eyes. Later, Rocky leaned in for a sweet and adorable kiss, which Rihanna reciprocated.
Justin Bieber & Hailey Bieber
Although the event saw most attendees embrace bold and loud fashion styles, there was a duo who opted for simple looks on the red carpet.

Hailey had on a black, floor-length gown with a plunging neckline by designer, Saint Laurent. Meanwhile, Justin did black suiting by la Maison Drew, as he called it.
This was a reference to Drew House, his own streetwear label.
To complete the dressy-casual vibe, he wore a pair of sneakers and carried around a smiley top-handle bag. The bag was also a fashion statement courtesy of his label.
This was the couple’s first Met Gala together, it also marked one of their first joint appearances in a while.
