Sharon Osbourne ain’t no punk and while she has proved that time and time again, the no non-sense former The Talk co-host reiterated it in a new interview.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Osbourne revealed that she and her husband, shock rocker, Ozzy Osbourne are working on a biopic, and it will detail how they used to put their hands on one another all the time. The upcoming production, according to Osbourne is not for the faint of heart.
“Our fights were legendary because we would beat the s**t out of each other,” she shared with the publication. Describing at least 20 years of her marriage as being “volatile”.
They’ve Grown Up Since
The 68-year-old made sure to point out that they are no longer abusive towards one another. “It stopped, must be, 20 years ago, but we had a good run,” a good chunk of time. The couple probably figured out that it was not a great example for their three kids.
The manager and her man knew one another for a long time but waited a while before actually dating. They eventually got married in 1982 and welcomed daughters Aimee, 38, Kelly, 36, and son Jack, 35.
While she admits that the biopic may not be for everyone, she hopes it will detail the bad and the good of her almost four-decade marriage and even longer career.
Kind Of A Love Story
“It’s a movie about Ozzy’s and my life, how we came together in the early days and our volatile relationship,” she reiterates. But Osbourne also wants to make sure that fans know there is a soft side to their partnership and real love behind it.
“All the fights, all the makeups, all the fights, all the arrests, all the everything. And it’s a love story,” she points out. But she knows that people may be confused about the relationship between her and the rocker, especially in the beginning.
“People are going to watch it, go, ‘This isn’t allowed. They shouldn’t behave that way and put it on film’.” Fortunately, the British native knows this and is willing to take whatever backlash she receives to reveal the truth.
“Only talking the truth,” she notes. “Some people have volatile relationships and ours was very volatile.”
It’s Not Ozzy’s Fault
The former talk show host points out that while she and Ozzy were aggressive towards one another, she displayed aggression long before she hooked up with the “Crazy Train” singer.
“I’ve hit guys in [the] business and it’s like … sorry. That’s the way I was brought up,” she even gave an example. “I famously hit a promoter – I kneed him in the crotch and then I head-butted him.”
Proudly pointing out that she got what she wanted; the money the promoter was withholding from her. “I got the money!”
‘You Grow To A Stage Where It Sickens You’
So, what happened? How did the couple stop attacking one another and still stay together? “You grow,” said Osbourne, who claims that the two did just that.
“You grow to a stage where it sickens you. You grow to a stage where it physically makes you sick, but when you’re young and, you know, you’re fighting the world. It’s different.”
At this point, it’s safe to say that Ozzy wouldn’t even be able to fight back now.
