Kevin O’Leary’s wife just scored a huge victory in court after she was found not guilty of criminal charges connected to a deadly boating accident that left two people dead.
According to reports, Linda O’Leary — who is the wife of the Shark Tank star — had the verdict read aloud in court which included the judge saying she was “not guilty” and rejecting any suggestion she was “impaired by alcohol” at the time of the boat crash.
As we reported, Linda had previously been charged with the careless operation of a vessel and was accused of drinking booze before the massive boat accident that caused the death of two passengers.

In the end, the not guilty decision reportedly concluded that alcohol played no part in the accident. To be clear, Linda’s acquittal means she is now free of any criminal charges connected to the incident. But, that doesn’t mean she is out of the woods yet…nor is her famous husband.
The O’Leary’s are still facing a wrongful death lawsuit in connection to the deadly crash. The famous couple was sued by the family of one of the victims in this case. In the 2019 case, the family claims the O’Learys were both incapable of safely operating their boat because their judgement was “impaired by alcohol, drugs, or fatigue.”
Shockingly, during the criminal trial, tons of evidence including brutal pictures of the aftermath was shown in open court. At the time, the couple was driving in a Super Air Nautique which included 12 passengers. In photos of the boat, you can clearly see the extensive damage on the front end with the paint and cracks all over the boat. Plus, unfortunately, you can see blood splatter presumably where victims of the crash were treated for their injuries.
Not Out Of The Woods…Yet

Following the deadly crash, Linda reportedly smelled like alcohol and that is where the charges surfaced from. But, according to legal documents, Kevin’s wife told investigators she drank vodka after the crash, and before cops administered an alcohol test. Of course, cops believed she has consumed the booze before the crash, and charged her in the case.
During the investigation, sources connected with the ‘Shark Tank’ star said his legal team was working on obtaining video that was captured in the area of the lake where the crash occurred, to see if they couldn’t get a look at the accident. At the time, the O’Leary’s alleged the other boat did not have navigation lights on — something that is required for boating at night. The other boaters insisted they were boating legally and the lights were on.
