The Met Gala has come and gone like the shadow figure that was Kim Kardashian, but that doesn’t mean people are done talking about it.
Fashion’s BIGGEST night saw “American Independence” brought to life through fabric, diamonds and celebrities.
Anna Wintour‘s highly coveted and super-exclusive event was a bit smaller this year compared to past Met Galas due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, but that doesn’t mean the star power was lacking.
Kendall Jenner, Billie Eilish, Dan Levy, Gigi Hadid, Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber and so many more strutted their stuff up the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art staircase while showing off their independence.
SHADOW-ashian
Viewers at home and online only see what goes on OUTSIDE of the Met ball doors. It’s a mystery what goes on inside the Met, but lucky for us and some rule breaking celebrities, us normal folk get a sneak peek.
There’s a strict no personal photography/selfie rule once inside of the Met Gala.
Kylie Jenner infamously broke that rule by taking a bathroom mirror selfie in 2017.
The bathroom selfie trend has continued since and Lil Nas X captured MANY moments from inside the Met Gala on September 13.
While everyone and everything looked glamorous, there is one tiny, MAJOR shocker fans were made privy to and that was the food.
Thank God for Keke Palmer!
The “Hustlers” actress posted a photo of the “meal” celebs were served at the gala and let’s just say it’s pretty lackluster.
Sorry to these stomachs.
Keke posted a picture of her measly plate which consisted of a small serving of rice with tomatoes, corn and a mushroom (singular).

She captioned the photo, “The menu chile.”
Keke then wrote on top of her picture, “This is why they don’t show y’all the food 🤪 I’m just playinnn👀.”
But was she?
Many of her fans reacted to the shocking photo on Twitter with some even drawing comparisons to the meals served at the infamous Fyre Festival.
One fan commented, ‘They feed y’all like it’s Fyre Festival,” while another wrote, “Didn’t the Fyre Festival at least have a cheese sandwich 😭.”
The Fyre Gala?!
A third person called this year’s Met, “Fyre festival part two.”
If you are unfamiliar with Fyre Festival, it was a highly publicized, celebrity backed music festival in the Bahamas. Thousands of young people paid a pretty penny for the ticket and flight down the tropical paradise.
However, when they got there, they were met with mass chaos.
There was no music, festival or celebrities.
Ticket holders were given a disgusting cheese sandwich with some lettuce to hold them over until they left the island.
Here’s the kicker, a ticket to the Met Gala costs anywhere from $25,000.00 to $50,000.00, and tables can range from $275,000.00 to $500,000.00.
So, to see Keke post her measly meal is pretty shocking and that’s all we will say!
