Andrew Garfield Breaks Fan's Hearts Over Rumored Return In Upcoming Spider-Man Installment

Ever since the trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man movie titled No Way Home, was intentionally or unintentionally leaked fans have started up all sorts of theories over who would be in the film. The return of Alfred Molina as Doctor Otto Octavius is a clear indication that the movie aims to bring back some characters from the saga's past. Because of this, speculation grew over the potential of seeing Toby Maguire back as the web-slinger. As well as, Andrew Garfield coming back to this cinematic universe. However, Garfield is shutting down the fanfare around his return.

People really want to know whether Garfield's spider senses are tingling or not. That buzz potentially landed him on the cover of Variety's October magazine. Of course, he was asked about the upcoming film. At that time Garfield was extremely open about the situation. Pretty much shooting down all of the rumors surrounding his participation in the film. He told the outlet,

"It's important for me to say on the record that this is not something I'm aware I am involved in. But I know I'm not going to be able to say anything that will convince anyone that I don't know what's happening,"

Last night Garfield was on the "Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy showed him the cover of Variety, and then he went to the tough questions. Fallon asked Garfield about a photo that had been making the rounds on social media. The picture showed Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire on what would potentially be the set of the new Spider-Man movie. Garfield had this to say about his potential appearance in the film and the photograph,

"I've heard about it. And I did see it," in the next breath he said, "It's a PhotoShop"

Garfield himself mentioned that he would not be able to say anything that would convince people that he was really out of the movie. In this line though where he denies any type of involvement in the film he mentions that he is trying to manage expectations. Those 4 words are what keep people hopeful that he'll eventually show up in the film. Garfield did talk about how cool it would be for him as a fan to see the three spidy's team up! Telling Variety,

"I understand why people are freaking out about the concept of that because I'm a fan as well," He then added, "You can't help but imagine scenes and moments of 'Oh, my God, how f------ cool would it be if they did that?'"

Andrew Garfield has literally denied all of the rumors around his involvement in the movie. The other Spider-Man, besides Tom Holland who we definitely know, is in, Toby Maguire keeps a way lower profile than Garfield. Therefore, we really haven't heard much from him about a potential involvement in the movie. This is how wild fan theories are though. Some random guy on the street claims that he saw Toby Maguire. When he asked him if he was going to be in the movie Toby smiled and gave him a wink! He even has a picture to prove he met him!
