Jenn Harley was just handed a huge legal victory in her domestic violence case in Las Vegas after the District Attorney decided to dismissed her criminal charges.
According to multiple reports, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office in Las Vegas has decided to drop the two counts they filed against Ronnie Magro-Ortiz’s ex-girlfriend. As you know, over the summer she was charged with assault with a deadly weapon constituting domestic violence, and misdemeanor battery constituting domestic violence.
As we reported, Harley was arrested after a nasty argument with her current boyfriend, Joseph Ambrosole, while out partying on the town. That night, Ambrosole claimed she pointed a gun at him and threatened to shoot him during the altercation. The couple had been partying at a strip club in Las Vegas when an argument broke out about Jenn’s drinking. In the end, she allegedly drove off in his car, but the argument continued at the couple’s home.
Jenn Harley Criminal Charges…Unsubstantiated?
During the nasty altercation, Joseph claimed Harley dropped the n-word several times and pulled out the weapon.
Now, it’s unclear why prosecutors are pulling the plug on the criminal charges connected to this incident, but it’s something her lawyer says he saw coming all along. After the arrest, Michael Cristalli, said the domestic violence charges against her “wouldn’t stick” because they were “unsubstantiated.”
It should be noted, Jenn addressed the drinking issues right away — and checked herself into a rehabilitation facility following the incident to get treated for her alcohol issues.
‘Jersey Shore’ Star Checked Herself Into Rehab For Alcohol Issues
“Jen is relieved that the matter is over and is looking forward to moving on from these unfortunate accusations,” he said following the charges being dropped.
As you know, Jenn’s famous Ex Ronnie Ortiz has had his fair share of brushes with the law, in very similar situations. The reality star was most recently arrested after allegedly attacking his new girlfriend. Ronnie was booked on suspicion of intimate partner violence with injuries and with priors, an LAPD spokesperson said at the time. He was subsequently released on $100,000 bail.
Ronnie released a statement following the arrest, saying, “I take all experiences as lessons.” He continued, “You learn who really cares about you when your [sic] down and out and than [sic] you see who doesn’t! But I guess they call it the weeding process. Thank you to my real friends who haven’t left my side and haven’t betrayed me.”
Not The First Time…
Interestingly, Ronnie’s new girlfriend — Saffire Matos — supported the reality star following the arrest saying the couple is “fine.”
“There is a lot of misleading information floating around out there. With anybody who reached out with concern I appreciate it with all my heart, but everything that’s being portrayed out there are not facts,” she continued.
At this point, it’s unclear if Jenn Harley is back together with her current boyfriend after the nasty incident — but, it is clear she will not be locked up anytime soon.
The District Attorney has yet to comment on dropping the charges.
