Denise Richards' Friend Defends Her Against Daughter's Claims of 'Abusive' Home

Last week Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen's daughter, Sami Sheen, posted a couple of Tik Toks that went viral. She had mentioned that she "finally moved out of the hell house" referencing her time living with her mom Denise Richards. Sami Sheen got a ton of support from fans after the posts made the rounds on social media. After all, people were sympathetic to her. Being the daughter of Charlie Sheen it's going to be hard to have a normal childhood. Now though, Denise Richards' friends are going to bat for her. Saying the Denise hasn't been the bad mother that Sami portrays her as being.

An unnamed source reportedly close to Denise Richards recently spoke to PEOPLE about the situation. Basically, on Denise's side, people are saying that she was a regular mom that set rules for her 17-year-old daughter as typical moms would. The source mentions,

"Denise set normal rules that any parent would be setting," While then going on to add, "She's a mom and a parent and there are rules. She didn't want to follow the rules."

To be fair to Sami Sheen a ton of 17-year-olds think that they live in a hell house. She moved out of her mom's house though and moved in with her dad. If Charlie Sheen's real-life is anything like his character's life on Two and a Half Men, Sami Sheen moved a little closer to hell by moving in with him!

Most 17-year-olds won't get the ok from their parents to drop out of high school. When your parent is Charlie Sheen, though, regular rules don't apply. That's potentially what Sami was looking for when she moved in with her dad. In her viral Tik Tok videos, Sami spoke about her current situation and how she was living her best life saying,

"finally moved out of the hell house, had a spiritual awakening, own 2 cats, happy single, full of self love, and dropped out of high school :)"

Her account has since been made private. Therefore, we don't have a clear update on how life with Charlie is going.

The source that's clearly coming from Denise Richards' side of the argument did not directly confirm or deny the allegations that Sami Sheen made about her time at her mom's. In one of the Tik Toks, Sheen mentioned that she would go days without eating under the care of Richards. The source did say that Richards was saddened by the situation, but wasn't willing to change her parenting approach. Something that Charlie Sheen was more than willing to do.

"Charlie didn't support implementing Denise's rules. He has a different way of parenting and Sami decided to live with her dad," while then adding. "Denise loves her daughter very much, and she's saddened by the situation."

Charlie Sheen on the other hand is happy that his daughter has decided to live with him. He said in a statement through his publicist Jeff Ballard,

"Sam is amazing. I love her and all my children unconditionally. We're having a ball. GED here we come,"

Charlie Sheen's been oddly quiet over the last few years. He hasn't been involved in major movies or TV shows for a while, and he's stopped making those bold comments about having tiger blood or being a warlock from Mars. From the looks of things, his parenting style is as unconventional as his lifestyle in general!
