On Thursday, Rachael Kirkconnell posted multiple video clips of her boyfriend, Matt James on her Instagram page. In the clips, he was seen energetically dancing to Chris Brown's "Sing" around his New York City apartment. Although there weren't any professional moves involved, the ex-"Bachelor" star looked very happy.

This was done in memory of debuting as a "Dancing With The Stars" season 30 contestant recently.

The reality star wrote over the videos,"WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM FOR A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!! This amazing dancer is so honored to join the cast of Dancing With the Stars, I’m so excited for you and so proud of you already!!! The other teams don’t know what’s coming!!"

Minutes later, James reposted the video on his story, and added “LMAO! Hater” with a crying emoji.

James then posted a video on his Instagram account. It showed him having fun while grooving and holding a basketball. He captioned it "When asked if I have any 'dance experience,'" and tagged "DWTS" in the process.

Kirkconnell quipped in the comments section, "Yep, looks about right."

Us Weekly exclusively revealed the news that James would compete during season 30 of the ABC reality show, which is set to premiere on September 20 via ABC Channel.

James Says He Practices Dance Routines With Kirkconnell

Despite the fact that Kirkconnell teased James about his dance moves, she supports her partner by helping him learn his routines.

"She's been my dance partner outside of Dancing with the Stars," James told People. "I come back and try to apply the same lessons that I learned during my rehearsals. She's been keeping me in shape!"

James mentioned that Kirkconnell was "stoked" about landing a spot on the reality show. He also added that she had been a great source of encouragement for him.

"She was the only person who seemed to love my beard, so that's love right there," he concluded.

The reality star will compete against "The Talk" co-host Amanda Kloots, "Beverly Hills: 90210"'s Brian Austin Green, "Bling Empire"'s Christine Chiu, YouTube superstar JoJo Siwa, "Real Housewives of Atlanta"'s Kenya Moore, Cobra Kai's Martin Kove, "Spice Girls" member, Melanie C., "The Office"'s Melora Hardin, WWE's Mike "The Miz" Mizanin, Olivia Jade Giannulli, and Olympic gymnast Suni Lee.

How Did James And Kirkconnell Meet?

Kirkconnell and James met on season 25 of "The Bachelor."  Although they didn’t get engaged at the end, they left the show as a couple. The pair briefly split amid resurfaced controversial racially insensitive Instagram posts from Kirkconnell.

This happened when a TikTok user accused the Bachelor star of being racist in High School. Screenshots of Instagram photos that Rachael “liked” featuring people smiling in front of Confederate flags then surfaced via social media.

When James was asked about the situation, he said, "I have not spoken to anybody since the show ended, but I would say that you have to be really careful about what you are doing on social media. Rumors are dark and nasty and can ruin people’s lives. So I would give people the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully she will have her time to speak on that."

Kirkconnell broke her silence on February 11 via her Instagram page, when she posted, "While there have been rumors circulating, there have also been truths that have come to light that I need to address. I hear you, and I’m here to say I was wrong," she wrote in part.

"At one point, I didn't recognize how offensive and racist my actions were, but that doesn't excuse them. My age or when it happened does not excuse anything. They are not acceptable or OK in any sense. I was ignorant, but my ignorance was racist."

They eventually reconciled and have since made it clear that they enjoy teasing each other.

'Dancing With The Stars'

"DWTS" is an American reality show that debuted on June 1, 2005 on ABC. The show was first hosted by Tom Bergeron.

After he quit the host job in 2019, it was picked up by Brooke Burke-Charvet and Erin Andrews. Begeron was later replaced by Tyra Banks in 2020.

The format of the show consists of a celebrity paired with a professional dancer. Each dance group performs predetermined dances and competes against another group for the judges' points and votes from the audience.

The couple who receives the lowest combined points and votes, would then be asked to leave the show.

Moving Forward

James needs to hone his dance routines, as he has eight days to step on the dance floor and participate in the show.

He is in competition with several incredible stars who, no doubt, have their eyes on the prize, and would dance their hearts out if they have to. It's sure gonna be an intense competition.

Although James' partner has not yet been revealed, fans imagine that no matter who it is, she has some work on her hands.

We wish him the very best in the reality show.
