Cuba Gooding Jr. Goes Unclad At Alice & Olivia's Fashion Show During NYFW

New York Fashion Week is back in full swing, bringing celebrities, the press, and the entire fashion industry swarming to “The Big Apple.”

After taking a long pause back in 2020, fashionistas got to catch a glimpse of Spring/Summer collections that would soon influence major trends across the world.

The show, which spans September 10-12, 2021 had industry professionals, fashion designers, models, celebrities, consumers, and retailers all under one roof.

One of such celebrities was controversial actor Cuba Gooding Jr. who showed up at the Alice & Olivia's Fashion show during the week.

The pandemic which brought the world to a stop put a damper on last year’s edition of the fashion week.

Brands had to come up with creative ways to display their new collections. This included a series of specially created marionettes and using 3D virtual technology to create self-modelling clothing.

However, this year, strict restrictions such as social distancing and mask wearing are no longer in place, as several celebs stepped out on the New York City Fashion Streets, going from place  to place to once again experience watching a fashion show in person.

The Alice & Olivia's Fashion Collection was one of the events that kicked off the fashion week in style. The collection displayed several classic and sexy designs entwined with a touch of modernity to attract fashionistas.

In attendance was Gooding, Jr. who waltzed into the show and ripped open his shirt on the red carpet while the cameras fired away.

The 53-year-old actor was also sporting a little goatee tied with a multicolored bun, beaded neck chain and plain black trousers balanced on a striped shoe. Whatever prompted him to go bare chest in public, he sure looks good.

While last year’s show had most celebrities attending virtually, this year had all the chic celebs arriving in New York to enjoy the live runways.

In addition to Cuba, several other stars like Lea Michele, Lucy Hale, Rachael Kirkconnell, Kenzie Ziegler, Kailand Morris, Chloe Fineman, Madison Pettis, Julia Michaels, Nicky Hilton, Sistine Stallone, Alexis Ren, Malina Weissman, Ciara, La La Anthony, and Lori Harvey were at the event dressed in glamour and glitz to the delight of the paparazzi.

Couples, Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen, and Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim, were also sighted at the fashion week.

The New York Fashion Week founded in 1943 by Eleanor Lambert-- it is a semi-annual fashion show held in February and September of each year, and generally lasts for a couple of days.

At the event, tons of fashion collections from different designers are displayed to prospective buyers, the press, and the general public. It is one of four major fashion weeks in the world, forming the “Big Four” alongside other fashion weeks in Paris, London, and Milan.

The organizers of this year's fashion week include IMG,The Society Fashion Week, FTL Moda in conjunction with Fashion Week Online, Style 360, Art Hearts Fashion, Style Fashion Week, and ASC Fashion week among others.

Having previously seen over 100,000 visitors in previous editions, the organizers hope that this year’s edition would be the ideal way of reaffirming the resilience of New York’s vibrant fashion industry, as well as a return to normality.

This year’s fashion week was outlined to be a mix of both in-person and digital events from different fashion brands hoping to court the approval of fashion elites.

In-person events were scheduled to showcase Aknvas, Rebecca Minkoff, Michael Kors, Mia Vesper, Private Policy, Tiffany Brown Designs, Tombogo, Jason Wu Collection, Batsheva, Markarian, Bibhu Mohapatra, House of Aama, Cynthia Rowley, Kevan Hall, Coach, alice + olivia by Stacey and a host of others.

While the digital events included brands like Junny, LORING New York, Undra Celeste New York, Mimi So, Colin LoCascio, Eugene Taylor Brand, Whensmokeclears, Gasanova, “21st Century Collectors,” Chuks Collins,

“Interior Design’s Phsysidigital Boom,” “Creation, The New Digital Landscape,”

Bottom line, this year’s designs have already proven to be on fleek.
