Oh no! it looks like one of the MET Gala’s top dressers will not be attending the star-studded event this year. Zendaya has confessed to Extra this week that she is simply too busy to show up this year.
“I will be on Euphoria,” quipped the Spiderman: No Way Home star. “My fans are going to be very upset with me,” she’s right about that one, but at least they will get a new season of the hit HBO show.
“I will unfortunately not be able to attend because I’ll be working for Euphoria. I got my time off to come here and do this Venice experience, which has been really, really special.”
Busy Bee
Zendaya is getting busier and busier so spending her time off in Venice seems like a great letting your hair down kind of time. that doesn’t mean that she won’t miss the excitement of attending the coveted gala.
“I wish I could, especially since this fashion icon is going to be hosting,” said Zendaya who point to Timothée Chalamet who was recently announced along with poet Amanda Gorman, Naomi Osaka, and Billie Eilish.
Slaying the MET
Fans will miss out on the fashion icons look this year and needless to say, we are wondering who will try to take the spot of adding an element of surprise to their gown.
Zendaya famously transformed into Cinderella at the 2019 MET gala using a Tommy Hilfiger gown. In 2018, she wore a Joan of Arc-inspired Versace dress. In 2015, she stunned in a Puglisi gown that looked like some sort of witch-goddess.
She is never one to disappoint but unfortunately, her great energy and high fashion will have to dip out this year. On a brighter note, her career is on an upward trajectory.
Coming Up
Zendaya is busy doing press for her next Marvel Spiderman movie, the third installment of the film making its debut in the fourth phase of the MCU. She was also recently in Space Jam: A New Legacy as Lola Bunny, the Dune remake she was cast in is hitting theatres soon and of course, part two is in pre-production.
So, when the actress and sometimes model says she’s busy, believe her! plus she is also focusing on her fairly new relationship with Spiderman co-star Tom Holland. The couple has finally made it official and has even been seen showing some PDA here and there.
A source for HollywoodLife shared exclusively that they are “very happy together” the two “are legitimate best friends” who went “from working with each other, and that has now turned itself into so much more.”

“They are not going to go out of their way to broadcast their relationship but are very aware that they now have the world’s attention.”
Unfortunately, anyone hoping for a spectacular couple outfit from Holland and the actress will have to wait until 2022 MET Gala… maybe. Chances are the actor didn’t get an invite and as Zendaya said, she is busy.
