James Corden has just filed a restraining order against a female alleged stalker, who he claims shows up at his home at all hours and thinks the two of them are getting married.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, 'The Late Late Show' host is asking a judge to keep a woman 100 yards away from his home and family after he says she has attempted to contact him on a regular basis and the behavior is "escalating over time."
In the filing, Corden claims in December or 2020, the person began staking out his house and stayed for six straight days. At the time, she "expressed frustration to my staff and in social media posts that my wife 'stole' me from her, and that once my wife is 'out of the picture' (or words to that effect), she and I can be together."

"I am highly concerned that (her) escalating conduct, and in particular her repeated and increasingly lengthy visits to my residence, poses a threat to my wife and children," Corden wrote.
The television host claims the woman is living out of her car and when confronted by LAPD, she insisted that she spend the last several days with him and they were planning on traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada together to get married. Of course, he told the police "none of which is true."
Unfortunately, the conduct didn't stop there -- Corden says he is the victim of "late night and other harassing calls to my unlisted home telephone number, regular emails, and calls to numerous people affiliated with me seeking their assistance in developing or furthering a relationship with me; multiple visits to the production lot where "The Late Late Show with James Corden" is filmed (in July 2018 and December 2020) claiming she was there too many me, even after being told not to visit the production lot."

At one point, LAPD detained the woman and she was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, but people in that situation are only held for 72 hours. Later, she arrived at the production lot where Corden's show if filmed and attempted to get in line to be in the studio audience -- only to be confronted by security who relayed the same messages that she was there to marry the television hot.
"I have done nothing to encourage any of this behavior or contact," Corden wrote. He continued, "but she is undeterred in her belief or apparent resolve. Indeed, far from accepting the reality that I am happily married to someone else and have three children with my spouse, she continues to profess her love for me."
In the end, James Corden was granted a temporary restraining order, which orders the woman to stop all contacts with the television host, and keeps her 100 yards away from his home and his family. Now, if she breaks the restraining order, LAPD can arrest her for violating a court order -- and the penalties can start to become very strict -- including lengthy jail time.
