Jessica Chastain RESPONDS To Viral Red Carpet Moment With Oscar Isaac

The Venice International Film Festival is currently underway in Italy and will end on September 11.

The 78th annual Venice International Film Festival saw TONS of celebrities out and about promoting a bevy of new films, and it even made for some meme-able moments of 2021.

The most talked about meme-worthy moment happened while Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac hit the red carpet to promote their new HBO series “Scenes From a Marriage.”

The series is about the marriage between tech executive Mira (Chastain) and her philosophy professor husband Jonathan (Isaac). Their relationship has been slowly falling apart in this five-episode limited series based on Ingmar Bergman’s Swedish series of the same name.

Roger Ebert said the following about the former Juilliard students, “Isaac and Chastain simmer and seethe and weep and yell and kiss and weep more and yell more through every scene of this limited series’ five episodes, and the emotional rollercoaster they provide often enlivens, and then surpasses, the depth of their characters or the nuance of Levi’s writing.”

Their chemistry both on and off screen is undeniable.

While walking the Film Festival red carpet on Saturday, September 4, Chastain and Isaac can be seen embracing one another.

Isaac stares at his co-star longingly and goes in for what could be described as either a kiss on the arm OR a sniff of her armpit.

Regardless, this moment has taken over the entire internet. Some may say it “broke the internet.”

One fan took to Twitter writing, “the way we have latched onto that video of oscar isaac smouldering at jessica chastain…as a society we are starved for on screen sexual tension.”

Another person is assuming there’s more going on between the two than meets the eye.

Chastain has clearly seen all of the memes going around about this hot and heavy moment, and decided to play along!

On Monday, September 6, she posted a gif of Morticia Addams being kissed by Gomez on her arm. She simply captioned the photo, “September 12 😈.”
