Lily Collins Is Married: Take A Look At Her Gorgeous Gown

Lily Collins is married! The actress tied the not on Sept. 4 with her fiancé of almost one year Charlie McDowell.

The Emily In Paris star shared the exciting news via Instagram. She even gave her fans a look at her private moment with a few beautiful photos of the ceremony that took place at Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado.

The duo looked sharp as they said their ‘I do's. Collins was in lace and McDowell was in a black suit.

Collins, 32, and McDowell, 38 shared a few shots of their intimate day on Instagram. “I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September 4th, 2021, we officially became each others forever. I love you beyond,” wrote the newlywed, tagging her husband.

She shared the message along with a photo of her and her man sharing a kiss. The photo also revealed a full-length view of the actress’s lace wedding gown. It featured a high neck and long sleeves, a style that not everyone can pull off.

The Mirror Mirror actress posted another photo, an up-close one of McDowell adoring her as she is smiling big for the camera. She writes, “Never been happier…” reiterating the words that the picture already spoke.

This time her dress is covered by a hooded lace cape, she lets the hood rest on her head, she literally looks angelic.

There is no doubt that Collins is the more known figure in this relationship, she has a hit show on Netflix that is going into a second season and she has acted alongside Julia Roberts, Zac Efron, and Lena Heady. Plus, her father is Phil Collins.

However, Charlie McDowell also comes from an acting family. His father is Malcolm McDowell and his mom is Mary Steenburgen. He has directed episodes of Dear White People, On Becoming a God in Central Florida, and Dispatches From Elsewhere

Collins and McDowell don’t talk much about their relationship. Fans only really knew they were together because they announced that they were engaged. However, sources claimed that the two were linked for at least a year ahead of announcing their engagement.

McDowell, like his wife, hopped on social media to announce their marriage and express his happiness. “I married the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I’ve ever known. I love you,” he wrote alongside the same snaps shared by Collins.

Her final post is a shot of the couple kissing near a woodsy waterfall. Her dress is still covered by that matching hooded lace cape. She offered up more detail about her relationship with the filmmaker.

“What started as a fairytale, is now my forever reality. I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start.”

Friends and family congratulated the couple. Reese Witherspoon expressed her happiness. Matt Bomer, Diane Kruger, Sarah Hyland, and Vanessa Hudgens among many more congratulated the couple on their nuptials.
