As part of the production team for the new FX American Crime Story series, Impeachment, Monica Lewinsky is speaking out about her past relationship with President Bill Clinton. She is currently making the rounds on TV promoting the show. Of course, she was asked to reflect on what happened in her days as a 22-year-old White House intern.
Nervous About What People Are Going to Get To See
Lewinsky had already opened up and essentially confirmed that there's an instance in the show where she, or her character in the show rather, shows her thong to President Clinton. Essentially Lewinsky claimed that at least this particular incident was based on true events. Even after revealing such a detailed part of the show Monica's nervous about what people are going to get a chance to see. Saying to the Today show,
"I'm nervous for people to see some of the worst moments of my life and a lot of behavior that I regret. If you remember your 20s not that long ago, it's pretty cringe-worthy,"

Does She Need or Want an Apology From President Clinton?
After everything that has happened does Monica still need an apology from Bill? Lewinsky was actually very clear on this. Saying that at this point in her life an apology from the former president isn't necessarily something that would help her cope with what went down over 20 years ago. In her eyes, though it could be he, who would benefit more from the apology. To help heal himself. She said on this topic,
"He should wanna apologize, in the same way that I wanna apologize any chance I get to people that I've hurt and my actions have hurt."
It's Been A While Since She & Clinton Have Had A Private Conversation
At some point in time, Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton did have private conversations. In fact, most people in the know feel that they did a bit more than just talk! On whether the two would speak to each other again, the odds are pretty stacked up against that possibility. Particularly now that Lewinsky is seemingly going to profit big time from what happened. The former was also asked by Today, whether he had apologized to Monica back in 2018. He had this to say on the matter,
"No, I do, I, I, I do not. I've never talked to her. But I did say, publicly, on more than one occasion, that I was sorry. That's very different. The apology was public."

Speaking of Apologies
The Clinton's can't be too mad that Lewinsky is now profiting from the events that took place in the 90s. In a way, they did the same thing with Hillary's Hulu series. In that docuseries, Bill Clinton did talk about an apology that he had to make regarding whatever went on with Monica Lewinsky. That apology was the one that he extended to his wife Hillary. In the documentary series, Bill Clinton explains the moment saying,
"I went and sat on the bed and talked to [Hillary], I told her exactly what happened when it happened." He goes on to mention, "I said, 'I feel terrible about it.' I said, 'We've been through quite a bit in the last few years. I have no defense. This is inexcusable, what I did.' "
