Cardi B and Offset Welcome Their Second Child, a Baby Boy!

The Cephus family has welcomed a new member! In a joint statement, Cardi B and Offset told E! News "We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son."

Since the announcement went viral, fans have been psyched about it, and are wishing the couple love on several social media platforms.

Cardi B is a proud mama bear again, and more importantly, Kulture is a big sister to a cute little boy.

Now, she can exert her dominance around the house, while being a protective and loving sister to her brother. Congratulations to rappers, Cardi B, Offset, and their daughter, Kulture.

"9/4/21???," Cardi captioned the super cute photo of her cradling her newborn baby boy while sitting next to her husband, Offset.

The emojis used in addition to the blue blanket the baby was swaddled in hinted to fans of the couple that the baby was a boy before official confirmation in the couple's statement.

In the picture, Cardi, 28 and Offset, 29 looked adoringly at their son while mother and son sat under a Louis Vuitton blanket. Their son was born on Saturday, September 4th and the Instagram post made the announcement on the following Monday.

In a statement made by the happy couple, they said "We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son, He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can't wait to introduce him to his other siblings."

The announcement post on Instagram already has over 10 million likes and over 200 thousand comments from fans, celebrities, and well wishers congratulating the couple on the birth of their son.

The arrival of the new bundle of joy comes three months after Cardi revealed her baby bump while performing alongside Offset and his group, Migos at the BET awards.

After Migos performed their hit song "Straightenin," the 28-year-old rapper appeared on stage to join them to perform "Type S***"  in an embroidered Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit with a thin panel on the abdomen showing off her protruding belly and announcing her pregnancy.

At the same time, an Instagram photo captioned "#2! ♥️" went live announcing the couple's happy news to millions of fans and followers. Offset later shared a post on his Instagram story, writing, "Another blessing."

Cardi and Offset welcomed their baby boy to join their family with their 3-year-old daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus who was born in July 2018 and whose pregnancy reveal and birth also broke the internet. Offset is also father to Jordan Cephus, 11, Kody Cephus, 6, and Kalea Marie Cephus, 6 whom he had from previous relationships.

Cardi shared about how she realized she was pregnant and what Offset's reaction was when she told him in a live studio appearance back in July.

According to Cardi, she began to experience symptoms during her rehearsals for her Grammy performance with rapper, Meghan Thee Stallion. She said she noticed she kept having frequent headaches, carsickness and a watery mouth, prompting her to tell Offset "I think I'm pregnant, bro!"

The couple then confirmed with a pregnancy test, and upon seeing the positive result, she recalls they laughed, realizing that they had a lot of preparation to do for the baby. She also expressed how excited she was for the baby, saying, "There is something so dear about this pregnancy and I feel like I'm starting a new chapter, and I'm happy about that."

All through the months leading to the birth of the baby, Cardi and Offset's excitement was palpable with posts showing the couple preparing for the baby and the obvious joy in the members of their family.

Cardi and Offset were married in a secret ceremony back in September 2017 and got publicly 'engaged' a month later on stage.

After allegations of infidelity by Offset starting from 2018, the "I Like It" rapper filed for divorce on their anniversary three years later. The couple ended up reconciling by December of 2020 and have since split up and reconciled several times.

According to E! News, a source at the time told them that "Cardi loves the attention from him, and he is trying really hard to win her back."

Cardi herself would later talk about her self-described "dysfunctional" relationship on June 28 while she revealed a maternity photoshoot ahead of the due date for her pregnancy.

The rapper said "We listened to each other, communicated, prayed and then God blessed us and our family with another little blessing. Our home feels so blissful and very busy but we are ready and so happy!! Thank you so much everyone for the congrats and well wishes."
