Many British people were up in arms over the story that broke across the pond this weekend about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly been in contact with Queen Elizabeth and want to arrange a meeting with her. This would be the second “summit” of its kind. After the one that the family held just prior to Harry leaving the UK for the first time at the start of the Megxit split. At that time, Meghan Markle reportedly called in from Canada, as she had already runoff. Now after all that’s taken place Harry and Meghan want to talk!
There Have Been Calls Home
As is usually the case with the Royals it’s hard to pinpoint what the truth is. Recently, the author of Finding Freedom, Amid Scobie, revealed that Harry and Prince William have not been regularly speaking to each other after Harry’s controversial exit from the family. If he wasn’t talking to William, he may have been talking to someone else in the family.
The Sun is reporting that their sources are telling them there have been calls between Harry and members of the family. This, of course, happening after the infamous Oprah interview.
Harry Wants To Christen Lilibet Diana
Out of all of the reasons why Harry may have wanted to reconnect with the family, religion may have been one of the options that fewer people picked. However, according to these sources cited by The Sun, Harry got in contact with the family even after the Oprah Winfrey interview because he wants to Christen Lilibet Diana in the UK. Some reports even indicate that he wants there to be a reception at Windsor Castle. Essentially he wants to make sure that his daughter is able to get the same type of treatment afforded to her brother Archie.
What Rubbed People Off The Wrong Way
What potentially outraged locals, at least according to British media, about this proposal of a new meeting with the Queen was that the initiative came from Meghan and Harry. The idea that they would go out and expose the Royal Family in the way that they did, then come back and potentially “demand” an audience just didn’t sit well with people.
From what is known up to today there has been no formal answer by the Queen or her team regarding the proposal. Rumors keep surfacing though, that indicate Harry and Meghan want to get back into the royal fold!
They’re Talking About Christmas With The Royals
Some of those rumors that we talked about indicate that Harry and Meghan are really pushing to essentially get their relationship with the royals back on track. In fact, sources claim that not only are they interested in holding the christening in the UK. Harry and Meghan could be interested in spending Christmas with The Royal Family. If this is true it would tie in well with this new change of heart that Harry’s potentially having. In which, it seems like he wants to make sure his kids are able to choose their path in life freely. Without missing out on these royal perks that he had as a child. In the words of Hannah Montana, he wants the best of both worlds for them. That actually was the original idea that Harry and Meghan presented to the Queen before things blew up!
