The name Behati Prinsloo is not a strange name in the world of modeling. Over the past few years, Namibian beauty has climbed to the top echelon of the modeling industry and is now among the top 100 most attractive models of the world.
Since her debut moment on the runway for Prada / Miu Miu exclusive in 2006, the supermodel has racked up more and more accolades each year.
She has walked in more than nine Victoria's Secret Fashion shows and featured in other shows for Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton, Versace, and Calvin Klein.
Her face has also graced the covers of Vogue Spain, Vogue, Elle France, L'Officiel Netherlands, Marie Claire, and the list keeps on growing. Truly the Namibian beauty has made a s**t load of money in her 15 years plus modeling career.
For those who are curious about her wealth, let’s take a look at Prinsloo’s net worth to quench your thirst.
Is Prinsloo Really Earning A Lot?
Online estimates of her net worth vary, as no one would truly know the worth of all the contracts she has signed or her total expenses over time.
Prinsloo’s primary source of wealth comes from being a successful model. Celebrity Net Worth currently places her net worth at roughly nine million dollars as of 2021.
That’s a whole lot of Benjamins!
Let’s do a bit more calculation. Prinsloo has been associated with over 17 cloth designers and at least 23 beauty companies. She has designed a line of denim for THVM and most recently a fashion and accessories collection for Juicy Couture.
Taking this into perspective, most top brands would also pay six figures to top models for being the brand of their campaign. If we add this to the thousands of dollars made from walking the runway, nine million dollars would seem to be the barest minimum.
More so, she has her own swimsuit line 'Behati Loves Pink' for Victoria's Secret, which included designs inspired by African prints from her hometown.
Having worked with all several fashion brands and cloth labels, Prinsloo's bank account should be bulging from all the weight it has received.
The Modelling Path
Prinsloo's foray into modeling came by a stroke of luck. She once disclosed how she got her first modeling gig at age 15 when she visited Cape Town, South Africa on a trip with her grandmother.
During their trip, the famous scout and the director of the modeling agency Sarah Doukas noticed Behati. Doukas sent her personal assistant to meet with her and get her contact details.
"We went to the grocery store after church and this guy came up to me and asked if I was a model and wrote his number on a piece of paper," Prinsloo said.
She was later invited for a photoshoot. Firstly, she didn't like this proposal, primarily because she expected her father not to support the idea. But her father, on the contrary, agreed to it.
The model's dad revealed years later that he realized that this was the only way to give his daughter the opportunity to see the world. So Prinsloo signed a contract with a modeling agency and a few months later she participated in a gig in London.
How Prinsloo Met Her Hubby
All her giant career strides have not made Prinsloo shy away from love. She is currently married to "Girls like you" crooner, Adam Levine.
She met the frontman of the Maroon 5 group when he was looking for a model to feature in one of his music videos. A friend of his recommended Behati, saying she'd fit right into the role, and gave him her email address.
Levine proceeded to email Behati and as they say, the rest is history. The news hit the social media space in 2012, and after two years of dating, the couple tied the knot in Mexico.
Since then, they've welcomed two children into the world, Dusty Rose and Gio Grace Levine whom they absolutely dote on. The couple recently sold their Beverly Hills home, in favor of living somewhere less busy.
"Beverly Hills just started to feel hectic. It’s strangely central, so we felt surrounded by the city. We wanted to live somewhere quieter, where you don’t hear the traffic and feel the stress," said Levine.
Prinsloo Loves Philanthropy
Prinsloo is a lover of charitable causes hoping to contribute her quota to mankind.
Following the 2010's devastating earthquake that caused irreparable damage to Haiti, she partnered with LakayPam, an organization dedicated to helping children in developing nations.
She leveraged her celebrity status to raise funds that helped to meet the needs of the children in the ailing nation.
She is also an animal activist and conservationist, supporting organizations trying to protect the black rhinoceros, a critically endangered species native to Namibia and other countries in Southern Africa.
One of such organization is non-profit, Save the Rhino Trust (SRT) Namibia.
