Dog The Bounty Hunter Says 'I Do' To Francie Frane In Controversial Nuptials

Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, got married to Francie Frane on Thursday as confirmed by ET. The couple tied the knot in Colorado.

This is coming after Chapman lost his wife, Beth, who he was married to for 13 years, to cancer in 2019. His new wife, Frane, also lost her husband, Bob, to cancer, six months before Beth's death.

The two bonded over the tragic events and although the 68-year-old Chapman told ET back in 2019 that he would never marry anyone else as Beth used to joke she would haunt him if he did, Chapman proposed to Frane in May 2020.

He revealed how Frane helped him heal after the devastating effect of his wife's death. "We hooked up on the phone and started talking to each other, crying and consoling each other," Chapman told TMZ in May 2020. "Then, one thing led to another," he added.

Frane is his sixth wife. Before her, he was married to Tawny Marie Chapman from 1991 to 2003, Lyssa Rae Brittain from 1982 to 1991,  Anne M. Tengell from 1979 to 1982, La Fonda Sue Honeycutt from 1972 to 1977 and Beth from X to Y. He also has 13 children from his previous relationships.

Chapman debunked the claims made by his 22-year-old daughter, Bonnie who stated that he was racist, homophobic, and cheated on her mom.

In a leaked phone call to his son in 2007, he was heard using the N-word to his son several times. It led to his show being cancelled by A&E.

He mentioned in a sit-down with ET that he was given a free pass to the N-word, as he was never racist. "I thought I had a pass in the Black tribe to use it, kind of like Eminem."

When asked about who gave him the pass to use it, Chapman said it was, "the brothers." He explained who the brothers were as the Black tribe who he spent time in jail with. "So that was a word that we used back and forth, as maybe a compliment. My pass expired for using it but no one told me that. To say a racist name doesn't qualify you as racist."

On the other accusations from Bonnie, he said that she has been brainwashed. He also added that members of his staff are gay, his daughter, Baby Lyssa, is gay, so he never understood how anyone would allude to him to being homophobic. Chapman then added that he would lay his life down for a gay or black man.

During an interview with ET on Tuesday, Chapman and Frane spoke about how they wanted their wedding to be. Francie would be writing their vows themselves and paying tribute to their late spouses.

"We have been doing that all along," she said. "We have done that privately, and in our vows, we will be honoring them. We honor them all of the time. And so we will continue to do that throughout their lives. Throughout our life together, we will continue to do that. They will be a part of that always."

Frane also spoke about her star-studded dress. She shared how it was too heavy because it had so much bling on it.

On the issue of their wedding cake, Frane said each of them picked their own flavors as they didn't share the same taste.

"So, he picked one part and I picked the other and we have several tiers of the cake and I don't like his part and he doesn't like mine," she revealed with a laugh. "The reception is going to be a fun party and right after the wedding, it is all in one place. And we are going to be dancing and having a blast with all of our friends and our family and everybody that wants to share all of this with us."

Barring unforeseen circumstances, Chapman boasted that theirs was going to be the celebrity wedding of the year.

In response to her father's comment, Bonnie admitted that this was the dumbest thing her father had ever said.

She noted how shocked she was at his response and how she was certain he was beginning to believe conspiracy theories. Bonnie only claimed that she wasn't given an invite to her father's wedding because she was at the forefront of the "Black Lives Matter" movement.

Frane also confirmed this, she shared that she did not give Bonnie an invite. Although it was a hard decision, she and Chapman had to do it, because they've been through a lot in her hands and won't want their big day to be ruined by her antics.

Chapman became famous when he and his ex-wife starred in "Dog The Bounty Hunter" show, a show which was known for tracking down wanted fugitives, until it was cancelled in 2012 due to racist comments.

Then they started a spin-off where they co-starred until it ended in 2015. In 2017, they starred together in "Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives," a special which spanned for two hours detailing Beth's health and battle after being diagnosed with cancer.

His latest solo show, "Dog Unleashed" was cancelled before it was aired on the basis of breach of contract.
