Karma did a number on Miles Teller.
The actor is currently filming "The Godfather” spinoff, “The Offer,” which will debut on Paramount Plus.
According to an industry source via the Daily Mail, Teller, who is unvaccinated, refused a covid test before testing positive on a Hollywood set.
The entire production had to be shut down the source claims. Production shut down on “The Offer” on July 28 after a production member tested positive. That production member was the “Whiplash” actor.
I shut that ISH down!
“Miles Teller is not vaccinated. He wouldn't even get the test,” the source told DailyMail.com. “Now he's brought the virus to the set and the whole set had to shut down.”
Paramount Television Studios also released the following statement, “Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily halted production… We will continue to follow all safety protocols and monitor the situation closely.”
Teller’s publicist, Lauren Hozempa, told the outlet, “Your facts are incorrect.”
Nothing more, nothing less.
“The Offer” is a show about the making of the blockbuster 1972 movie The Godfather. Teller stars alongside Giovanni Ribisi, Colin Hanks, Matthew Goode, Juno Temple and Dan Fogler.
According to the Daily Mail, the Offer dramatizes two-time Oscar-winning producer Al Ruddy's experience making the movie.
Teller plays Ruddy in the show - a role he took over from Armie Hammer after he was accused of sexual abuse and having cannibalistic fantasies, revealed in explicit texts.
Production has since resumed and Teller has returned to set.
I'm Back!
On Friday, September 3, Teller’s name began trending on Twitter.
Many people expressed mixed reviews about the news. Some sided with Teller while others feel he should face a fine or penalty.
One person commented, “Why was he allowed to BE on set without a vaccine??”
Another wrote, “He should be fined for the cost of the shutdown. Or fire.”
On the other side of the vaccine debate were people who wrote things such as, “Not his fault. It’s the people in charge who kept allowing him on set,” and well, that’s about the only defender!
A LOT of the comments were about his douchey attitude and how no one wanted him acting anymore.
Yikes.
