The rap star welcomed her and husband, Kenneth Petty’s, first child in September 2020. She gave birth to a little boy, but has yet to reveal his name. She has only referred to her little bundle of joy as “Papa Bear.”
Nicki took to Instagram on Thursday, September 2 to give fans a new look into her life as a mother and share new footage of her baby.
And it did not disappoint.
In the video, fans can see Kenneth, Nicki and ‘PB’ sitting on a couch as a cute little family of three. ‘PB’ is on Nicki’s lap as she talks to him and asks him questions.
“Papa, say me and mama laughed at that,” she said before projecting her iconic tongue roll.

‘PB’ doesn’t seem to find that very funny, but here’s where it gets adorable.
“Papa what doin’? Say ‘Hi,’” she urged her little one as she took his hand and moved it in a waving motion.
Papa Bear happily obliged and let out the cutest little “Hi.”
Mom and dad were completely shocked by their little one putting it on for the camera. The YoungMoney Instagram account commented, “he said Hi for the gram.”
He said WHAT?!?
The rap queen posted another carousel of videos from the same day. This time ‘PB’ was a bit more camera shy.
In the one video she has him on her lap again and says, “Papa, do you look cute? Papa say mama say ‘Mama I know I’m a cute boy.’ You a cute boy?”
Um Nicki, that is a resounding ‘YES.’

Back in July, Nicki doted on her little one saying, “He’s a people person, which I didn’t know, you know, if that was gunna happen. I didn’t know if he was gunna love people.”
Keeping things 100, Nicki did express she was experiencing some “mom guilt” after returning to work.
“To the women that have to get up and go to work every day and leave the baby, or put the baby in daycare, god bless you. I know that that’s not easy,” she said. “I can do a photoshoot for two hours and when I see my baby after that I am, I feel guilty, I feel like ‘Oh my god,’ and he’s like, he can’t say it, but he’s pushing his little body up to hold him. It’s just so cute.”
