The footballer just said spending time away from his fiancée will be a “good” thing.
A new season of football is upon us and that means, Rodgers will have to trek his way back to Green Bay, WI to throw the pig skin with the Packers.
Woodley, as many know, is an actress and based in Los Angeles. It’s no surprise that an NFL player and an A-list actress will definitely spend extended periods of time apart from one another, but to say that’s a “good thing” is a bit jarring.
Green Bay Loner?
In an interview with Haute Living published on Thursday, September 2, Rodgers said, “It’s a busy work time for her, so [my decision] probably came at a good time for both of us to be able to focus on our work.”
By ‘my decision’ Rodgers means heading up to Wisconsin.
He continued, “I think it’s going to be a good thing. I mean, her work was shut down for an entire year, and she’s booked a number of projects. She enjoys working and her own routine, which I obviously enjoy, too.”
The couple secretly got engaged last year with Rodgers announcing it during his “Most Valuable Player” award acceptance speech.
Rodgers said, “2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments. One hundred-eighty straight days of having my nose hair scraped, a plan for very little fans or no stands the entire season, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career.”
The cute couple have posted each other on their respective social media accounts, but not too much is known about their relationship besides a few interviews and IG posts.
The “Big Little Lies” actress did express that since getting together with her fiancé it’s been a ‘whole new world.’
During a virtual appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Monday, July 19, the actress said learning the ropes of football has been somewhat of a struggle.

The show host asked her, “Have you felt the need to bone up a little bit on your sports terminology?”
Woodley replied, ““The Packers games are the only ones I find really interesting, because I have people to actually root for,” she revealed. “But, um, it is a whole new world learning all of the different… I still, I’m always like, ‘Oh you scored a goal,’ and he’s like ‘it’s a touchdown.’”
She admitted that she may be rusty, but she’s learning “slowly but surely.”
