The new and final season of the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” is set to premiere on September 13th. Although there is not much known of what is planned for the last season of the show. We do know now, though, some of the names of the final guest stars that are going to sit on the couch with Ellen and talk about their lives. The list includes a lot of the Ellen show regulars. As the new season is set to kick off there is still plenty of controversies surrounding the reasons why the show is ending in the first place.
Are There Any Updates On The Controversies?
The thing with these allegations that the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” was a toxic workplace, is that most of these were complaints voiced on Twitter or Reddit. That’s not to say that the complaints weren’t true. It’s just that for the most part the people making them did not seek any type of legal action against Ellen or the show. One of the more serious claims came in the pandemic year when staffers claimed,
“The status of their working hours, pay, or inquiries about their mental and physical health from producers for over a month,”
Nothing saw the light of day as far as a lawsuit or other action after the initial claims appeared.
The Stars That Are Going To Be On The Show
As we mentioned most of the stars that we know will be on the show at least once in this last season mostly include some of the Ellen Show regulars. These celebrities are personal friends of Ellen. Therefore, they would have to have a pretty massive falling out for them to not appear. The list includes Jen Aniston, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon. Imagine Dragons potentially putting on a show on stage on the couch at some point in this final season. We’ll also get to see Sean Diddy Combs, Melissa McCarthy, Julianne Moore, and Melissa Etheridge.
She’ll Still Have A Couple of Exclusives
The Ellen couch for years was the place where all sorts of celebrities let their guard down and their emotions flow. Ellen is probably keen to make sure that she is able to recapture some of that “magic”. Which the show has certainly lost in the last few years. She’ll get Kim Kardashian‘s first public interview after the end of Keeping up With the Kardashians. Ellen will also get a chance to ask what’s really going on between her and Kanye. We get new news every day, and are not really sure what to think at this point!
Why Is The Show Really Ending?
Just like with the allegations, the ending of the show is one of those things where you can get a different answer from a ton of folks. Ellen herself had mentioned that it was “too easy” to do the show. She was looking for a new career challenge at this point. Another thing that she did admit, was the fact that her contract was up. Potentially these two things combined with the fact that major sponsors had pulled from the show ultimately led to its demise!
