Prince William & Kate Considering A Move, But It's Not Los Angeles

When a moving truck is parked outside of a royal residence we usually know that something serious is about to go down. Most of the recent royal moves were made because members of the family wanted to get away from their relatives, as was the case with Prince Harry. Other moves like the one that was forced upon Sarah Ferguson, were to get certain people away from the family. William and Kate’s moving plans are very much in the spirit of trying to keep the family together! 

The Telegraph recently reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were eyeing a move towards the Windsor Estate. Having Frogmore House as their desired destination. The estate is currently unoccupied and literally sits a stone’s throw away from Windsor Castle. Which is the place that Queen Elizabeth spends virtually all of her time in these days. When she happens to be in England and not on her summer holiday in Scotland. What does this move say about the current state of the Queen? 

With Prince William considering a move to be closer to the Queen two theories arose. Obviously, there is a ton of concern for the Queen’s emotional well-being after the death of Prince Philip. However, that may not be the main reason why William is the one eyeing the move. William moving closer could mean The Queen is ready to give William more of the crown’s power. With him being the one to influence her decision-making in later life. It seems like if more emotional support was needed the Queen would rely on her kids! 

If you’ve watched The Crown, or read a couple of history books you’ll know that Prince Charles’ relationship with his mother hasn’t always been known for its warmth. She has a warmer relationship with Prince Andrew. Who by the way was her main guest in Scotland this summer. 

William and Kate’s move closer to the Queen could certainly be taken as more of a political stance. Again with Queen Elizabeth agreeing to bestow more responsibilities on William. We’ve seen them together on multiple occasions in formal events following the death of Prince Philip.

Would the reason for this move also be to just literally piss off Prince Harry? Prince Harry was actually allowed to live on Frogmore Cottage, a smaller property part of the Frogmore estate that William is potentially being offered. Harry and Meghan actually had their wedding reception, essentially in the big house. Yet, they had to live in the smaller premises. By the way, if Prince William does move in he’ll have Princess Euguene as his closest neighbor. Afterward, she and her husband moved into the property when Harry moved out!
