Legendary rocker Gene Simmons has tested positive for COVID-19 and it has forced the band to postponed several dates on their ongoing tour. But, the good news is he only has "mild" symptoms.

The 'KISS' frontman announced the unfortunate news on social media, claiming he has come down with the virus and has to miss a few shows while recovering from the sickness. Also, the band and the crew are going to remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days.

"KISS will postpone their next four tour dates. While Paul Stanley recently tweeted he has recorded from COVID, Gene Simmons has now tested positive and is experiencing mild symptoms," the band said.

The continued, "The band and the crew will remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days and doctors have indicated the tour should be able to resume on September 9th at FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates once announced. More information will be emailed to ticketholders directly."

As you can imagine, KISS fans flooded the band's social media pages with messages of support -- and in some cases -- worry! "They should cancel the tour for their health, it hurts more to see them sick," one person wrote. Another added, "Get well guys!!! ?????? I had 4th row for Chicago this Saturday - I guess it wasn’t meant to be :("

As we reported, Gene is the second famous band member to be diagnosed with COVID. Paul Stanley came down with the virus and couldn't take the stage for a scheduled concert in Pennsylvania. Interestingly, Paul is fully vaccinated for the virus and felt fine during the several days he was sick. At the time, there were reports that Stanley might be having some sort of heart issues, but that was not the case.

"PEOPLE!!! I am fine! I am not in ICU! My heart allows me to do 26 miles a day on my bike! I don't know where this came from but it's absolute nonsense," the rocker wrote. In the end, the band posted a statement saying, "More information about show dates will be made available ASAP. Everyone on the entire tour, both band and crew, are fully vaccinated."

They continued, "The band and their crew have operated in a bubble independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at each show and in between shows. The tour also has a COVID safety protocol officer on staff full-time that is ensuring everyone is closely following all CDC guidelines."

In the end, it doesn't appear that any of the band members or the crew has been hospitalized with the virus -- and hopefully, they can pull it all together for the show in Southern California. Either way, everyone will be quarantined for the next ten days!
