Real Housewives of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes has shared an update on her husband Gregg Leakes and his unfortunate battle with colon cancer. “If you see me and you see my son, give us a lot of love – okay?” pleaded the former reality at her new business Linnethia Lounge in Atlanta GA. Speaking on the microphone, Leakes asked fans to be kind to her and her son Brentt because “my husband is transitioning to the other side.” The shocking news comes after the 53-year-old shared only a short time ago that her husband was on the mend after chemo treatments and surgery.
Leakes is only addressing the personal matter because of how rude fans and followers have been lately when seeing the semi-famous star in public. “You don’t know what we’re dealing with right now…When people approach us and say, ‘You’re rude’, my husband is at home dying.” The fan who triggered the incident wanted Leakes to wish her a happy birthday because she was celebrating the night at the lounge that opened just before summer. While she insisted, she had no intentions of getting on the mic and addressing the rude behavior she felt compelled to make sure that people knew she was dealing with a lot and not trying to be disrespectful.
Comments on the video addressed everything from “why you in the club?” to “prayers up for Gregg”. However, if they watched the entire almost two-minute video, Leakes states that she sometimes “has” to show up because it is her bread and butter, after all, she is no longer on RHOA and doesn’t seem to be on the best terms with Bravo or Andy Cohen. She has repeatedly called out the Watch What Happens Live host for his backhanded comments and alleged poor treatment of her when she was no longer bringing in viewers for Bravo.

Before ending, Leakes looked directly at the fans and asked them to “please give us some love and some respect” acknowledging that they are both hurting but trying to keep strong because of the business that they are running. “My husband is losing his life at this very moment,” reiterated Leakes “you don’t know what people are going through, my husband is not going to be here in a couple of days,” she shockingly announced again. Gregg has been battling cancer on and off for several years now, we are sending love & light to NeNe, Gregg, and their kids at this time.
