Congratulations to MM band member, Lance Bass, and his husband, Michael Turchin, who announced in 2021 that they are expecting a set of twin babies; boy and girl.

Bass is a successful American singer, dancer, actor, and film producer, who rose to prominence as the bass singer of the aforementioned group. The group's success later helped the singer transcend into acting and television production.

Bass' announcement that he is preparing to become a first-time father to two kids took fans by surprise, as the couple has been trying to expand their family since 2018. They used IVF and surrogacy to bring this dream to reality, and fans are keeping their fingers crossed till the d-day.

Now that the singer is about to become a father, that might mean babysitting duties for other members of his band, if either of them would ever be shortlisted as a god-parent. However, Bass recently disclosed that he will not be leaving his kids with some of his colleagues, for reasons best known to him.

Lance Bass Names Non-Potential Babysitters

The NSYNC was and is practically Bass' family, and now that he's about to become a father to two gorgeous children, the family relationship continues. Although the producer keeps in touch with his former bandmates, he revealed to Us Weekly which of them is likely not on the list of potential babysitters.

Per the news outlet, Bass is very sure that his kids would be safe in the hands of team members, Joey Fatone and Justin Timberlake, who have experience with kids, as they have two kids each. Obviously, they would be the best options.

So, what about the others? Well, Bass mentioned that at first, he did not consider Chris Kirkpatrick, however, he changed his mind saying; "... He's such a good father. I mean, he's raised such a great kid. So yeah, I think all of them would be incredible babysitters."

That leaves JC Chasez as the non-babysitter option. Although Bass did not say anything about his former bandmate, he was the only one that was found wanting on the list of potential babysitters. Ouch.

Congratulations Lance Bass

Bass got married to his partner, Turchin, in 2014, and the duo went on to become an incredible couple; living relatively low-key lives.

Four years into their marriage, the two decided to start having kids through the use of IVF and surrogacy. Although they kept many details about the process away from the public, fans were still elated to share in this awesome journey.

In June 2021, the couple shared with People that they are expecting a boy and girl sometime in November, and noted what it took for them to get to that point. According to the news outlet, the surrogate had to go through nine rounds of IVF and a miscarriage, which was a very devastating moment for them. In the end, the good outweighed the bad, as the pair will now be incredible fathers to two beautiful children.

"When we were pregnant last year, our surrogate miscarried while being pregnant with twins," Bass disclosed to the outlet.

Getting Fatherly Advice

Although this is Bass and Turchin's first time as parents, and not to one, two kids, they have nothing to worry about, as there are a lot of spare hands ready to assist whenever they come calling.

Speaking of assisting, Bass has already begun receiving parenthood advice from his former band members, Timberlake and Kirkpatrick.

"They say, 'You are not going to sleep. That is the worst part, and that's what can drive you crazy at times. It's just sleeps deprivation. So, as much as you can, take a nap here, try to get sleep because that's gonna really just make you a better father,'" Bass shared.

Realistically, one child is a handful when it comes to first-time parents, but two kids will be a whole different ball game. But if there is anything we know about Bass and their husband who have anticipated this for two years, they are are likely ready to see it through. We wish them all the best and wish the surrogate a safe delivery.

Lance Bass Wants To Be There For The Delivery

Speaking to Us Weekly about his plans for his unborn children, Bass revealed that he intends to be present for the birth, as he has experienced it before, and loves every part of it.

He told the publication that he was in the delivery room with one of his friends, and watched how the entire special event unfolded.

"... It was crazy because it was a natural birth that then turned into a C-section. So I got to see both types of birth and cut the cord and everything. I'm a geek for that," he noted.

It's commendable that the soon-to-be father is not fazed by all the crazy things that can happen in a delivery room, but it's better to keep one thing in mind before he goes in. 'These are his kids.'
