The great DEBATHE has come to an end.
Yes, the debate is purposely misspelled, because we are talking about the absurd trend in celebrity bathing rituals.
Alright so this summer has brought us the #MilkCrateChallenge (DO NOT DO THIS), Tony Hawk putting his literal blood on skateboards and celebrities revealing they don’t bathe.
It’s been exciting to say the least!
Alright, so if you don’t know by now, there are a handful of celebrities who have admitted to not showering daily and not bathing their kids daily.
Among those celebs are Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell.
This entire trend came to light after Ashton and Mila appeared on Dax & Monica Padman’s podcast, “Armchair Expert,” and revealed they are not avid bathers nor are their children.
The famous couple revealed on the podcast that they only bathe their children when they see dirt on them and even admitted that they don’t always do a full body scrub down while in the shower.
“I don’t wash my body with soap every day,” Kunis revealed on the episode.

She continued, “But I wash pits and tits and holes and soles.” Interestingly, Kunis revealed the habit started as a matter of circumstance. “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child,” she said. Adding, “so I didn’t shower very much anyway.”
Kutcher agreed, adding, “I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that just delivers every time. Nothing else.”
Upon this news making the headlines, Kristen and Dax admitted they don’t bathe their children every day.
“We bathed our children every single night prior to bed is like the routine and then somehow they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine and by George we had to start saying, ‘Hey, when’s the last time you bathed them?’” Dax said on an episode of “The View.”
His wife chimed in saying, “I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink. Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up.”
Well now, “The Good Place” actress is letting the world know IT WAS A JOKE!
The actress exclusively told Entertainment Tonight, “I thought, ‘America is not gonna dig deep into this and want all the intel on how often people bathe, right?’ Because there are much more important topics.”
RIGHT!
“But it was kind of funny when, like, we started being asked about it and then the interviewers didn’t even know that Dax’s podcast was the one that started the questions. And by the way, a room full of four comedians — Dax, Monica Padman, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis — who were ‘joking’ about bathing, and then the world took it seriously.”
Kristen added, “I think people maybe need a little bit of a lesson of what is a joke and what is not. Because now people are acting like this is an actual Supreme Court case.”
Case CLOSED!
