Monica Lewinsky Promises Bill Clinton Fetishes Will Be Revealed In New 'Impeachment: Crime Story'

There's a lot of things to unpack here, literally, so let's get going. There's going to be a new show from FX's award-winning American Crime Story series. The show is set to follow the impeachment process of President Bill Clinton. The producers of the show actually went out and got help from a person who was in the center of the ordeal. Of course, we are talking about Monica Lewinsky. The former White House intern revealed that she had insisted to the show's producers that some juicy details about her encounters with President Clinton made the final cut!
Bill Had A Thing For Thongs
Just how personal are things going to get on the show? Well, Lewinsky is on board as a producer on the show. She wants to literally bare it all! One of the infamous scenes that people are already looking forward to is one where Lewinsky flashes her silver thong at the President. An event that Monica claims is rooted in fact. If Bill's defense is still, I did not have sexual relations with that woman, he'll probably say that never happened!
Why Lewinsky Is Advocating For Such An Explicit Show
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lewinsky talked about her new role as producer on this show. She detailed why she advocated strongly to include the thong scene, as well as, other explicit scenes on the show. Pretty much, her thinking is that she didn't want people to feel like the show was holding back because of her. Lewinsky mentioned,
"I shouldn’t get a pass because I’m a producer; and two, that it was unfair to the team and to the project because it would leave everybody vulnerable,”
Really Cognizant About How The Story Is Told
With Lewinsky on board as a "star" producer, many people are speculating that the show is going to lean towards her perspective of the story. This is the same studio though that worked on The People v OJ Simpson. In that series, what potentially made the show so great was that it didn't pick one side of the argument. It's going to be interesting to see how they tell the story. Lewinsky meanwhile spoke about this saying,
“Listen, I would’ve loved to have been really selfish and said, ‘That’s great that you guys think we don’t have to show that, fantastic, but I’m incredibly experienced in understanding how people see this story,”
Series Premiere & Who's On Board
We are coming up on the series premiere pretty soon here. With September unsurprisingly being picked as the month to launch a ton of new shows. It's going to be a great fall for binge-watchers. The show is specifically set to premiere on September 7th. We already have full confirmation on the cast. It's going to include, Beanie Feldstein, as Lewinsky; Sarah Paulson, as Linda Tripp; Clive Owen, as President Clinton; and Edie Falco, as Hillary Clinton. Multiple trailers have also been released!
