Demi Lovato is showing off her drug use for millions of followers on social media, and the point is clear, she is 'California Sober' and isn't ashamed of it.

The 'Sorry Not Sorry' singer took to Instagram to post images of herself blazing up a pre-rolled joint. In the clip, Demi appears to be visiting a grow house -- filled with large marijuana plants. The singer showed off the impressive business, along with a sample of the 'Ball Family Farms' products.

Lovato included one video of herself on IG stories sampling the product, and taking a big hit from the joint. "Left w some goodies aka MIYAGI DO," she captioned the footage.

As you know, Lovato recently joined a number of celebrities claiming they are "California Sober" which doesn't restrict them from using alcohol or marijuana. Demi revealed her decision in an interview with 'CBS Sunday Morning' where she clarified the decision to allow herself to indulge in these items.  "I called my recovery case manager and was like 'Something's not right. I'm living one side of my life completely legalizing and this other side following a program that tells me if I slip up, I'm going to die.'"

Demi Lovato Smoking Weed...Is It A Good Idea?

She continued, "I am cautious to say that, just like, I feel the complete abstinent method isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution for everybody, I don’t think that this journey of moderation is a one-size-fits-all solution for everybody, too.”

Obviously, the two substances are much better than opiates or narcotic drugs that Demi was known to use in the past. But, it's not a surprise many are worried about her using any sort of substance at all.

As we reported, Demi was hospitalized back in 2018 after a near-fatal overdose. The singer opened up about the situation in a YouTube docu-series where it was revealed she had three strokes and a heart attack. "My doctors said that I had five to 10 more minutes," describing how close she came to death.

"I've had a lot of lives, like my cat. I'm on my ninth life, I'm ready to get back to doing what I love, which is making music," she continued. Adding, "I was left with brain damage, and I still deal with the effects of that today. I don't drive a car because I have blind spots in my vision. For a long time, I had a really hard time reading. It was a big deal when I was able to read a book, which was like two months later because my vision was so blurry."

Interestingly, many medical professionals are taking both sides of this argument -- on one hand, saying that using any substance can be a slippery slope back to addiction to stronger chemicals. But, others claiming the use of marijuana and other non-addictive substances can actually keep people who struggle with dependency away from the hard stuff.
