Kacey Musgraves CONFIRMS She's Off The Market After Divorce

Kacey Musgraves was having a hot girl summer, but it didn’t last long.

The “Velvet Elvis” singer recently revealed and confirmed she is in a relationship.

And get this…it’s with a poet!

In recent interview with The New York Times published on August 26 the country crooner CONFIRMED she is in a relationship with writer Cole Schafer.

The best part about her new man is that he had no clue who she was.

“He did not know who I was, which I loved,” she explained about the time they first met, which happened to be in a crowded restaurant.

Kacey explained to ‘TNYT’ the pair were being followed by “sweaty men” snapping pictures, which is maybe why her fans have speculated the romance for a few months now.

When detailing her experience with paparazzi she said, “A handful of grown men come out, and they’re sweating trying to keep up with you on the sidewalk. It feels very predatory.”

Kacey and Schafer sparked dating rumors in June after getting snapped by the paps in New York City. They were holding hands and hugging while walking around the Big Apple.

Schafer seemingly confirmed the two were together by posting a black-and-white Polaroid picture of the pair on Instagram.

He captioned the sweet photo, “I’m trying like hell not to write about her.”

Kacey gave her stamp of approval by commenting a black heart emoji on the pic.

In recent months, Schafer once again expressed his adoration for the singer by giving her a birthday shoutout from bed.

He posted another black and white photo of him and Kacey, this time in bed seemingly shirtless, and captioned the photo, “Here’s to you looking to your right when you stepped into F***. Here’s to you writing me back. Here’s to your jawline that chaps my lips and your hair I can’t keep my hands out of. Here’s to your aesthetic and your art being a close second to your heart. Here’s to you making it through thirty-two and here’s to you making history in thirty-three. It’s been so damn pretty falling for you, Kacey. ?”

Kacey once again showed her highest approval for the sweet post commenting, “Sweet angel boo. ? Life is so much prettier with you in it.”

Prior to her romance with Schafer, the country songstress was linked to Nashville-based doctor Gerald Onuoha after they were seen getting cozy in Los Angeles in April of this year.

As many of her fans know, Kacey her and now ex-husband, Ruston Kelly announced their divorce in 2020 after two years of marriage.

In a joint statement to the Associated Press, Kacey and Kelly said, “It simply just didn’t work. Though we are parting ways in marriage, we will remain true friends for the rest of our lives. These kinds of announcements are always met with scrutiny and speculation and we want to stop that before it even starts.”

“We’ve made this painful decision together — a healthy decision that comes after a very long period of trying the best we can,” they wrote. “We hold no blame, anger, or contempt for each other and we ask for privacy and positive wishes for us both as we learn how to navigate through this.”
