Kanye West has added on to the DONDA album experience. The self-proclaimed mogul apparently recently launched the DONDA Stem Player. According to kanyewest.com, the player is shipped with the album on it and includes a number of features. West clearly wanted to make this player expansive so naturally, its features include vocal controls, and few instruments like drums, and bass, and of course, samples. The website also boasts that you can “isolate parts, add effects, split any song into stems.”
He Really Wants You To Use It
West has padded the player with a few more tools including looping, tactile effects, and the specs include silicone skin, touch-sensitive lights, Bluetooth, and several other techy things you can read about here! The rapper has reportedly been working on the player for a few years now and is excited to finally debut it with such a special album. The rapper first mentioned the player during an interview with DJ Zane Lowe. The website also features images of the player that is about the size of the palm of the hand.
But Where’s The Album?
A fan account shared the visuals for West’s player and naturally, fans were excited. “Bro this is revolutionary. Also an incredible bundle idea without it being an actual bundle. This is next-level marketing,” wrote one follower. But not even the excitement of something new from the rapper could overshadow the fact that West promised fans the 'DONDA' album at the beginning of the month and August is almost over. Yet, the 44-year-old has the audacity to shift gears and focus on a music player? Fortunately, for West, those same fans already committed to buying the player.

'DONDA'
As for the physical copy of the album well, the streaming version, end of August is the alleged time of release but fans are skeptical because it would be the third time the rapper moved the release of the highly-anticipated album. One thing is for sure, he is hosting yet another listening party, in Chicago this time. The father of four famously took up residence at the Mercedes Benz Arena but he has now changed locations and is allegedly staying at Soldier Field where the third and hopefully final listening part is set to take place on August 26. The Runaway rapper recently made headlines when he announced that he will be offering COVID-19 vaccines at the listening party.
Get Vaxxed
“Kanye West’s performance is one of many examples that show that Chicago can be open and safe at the same time,” shared Chicago Park District spokeswoman Michele Lemons to the Chicago Tribune. “Soldier Field and the Chicago Department of Public Health are pleased to be working together to offer 1,500-plus vaccinations for those not yet vaccinated.” The arena will accommodate up to 40,000 fans and even though the capacity has been reduced down from its normal 68,000 capacity, they don’t want to take any chances. As for West music player, there is no official release date on the website but if the album is available on the player chances are whatever day 'DONDA' drops is the day the stem player will be up for grabs.
