Kanye West is offering free COVID-19 vaccines for anyone who isn't vaccinated inside of his 'Donda' listening party in Chicago.
In a shocking twist, the 'Jesus Walks' rapper is NOT requiring people to be vaccinated or test negative for Coronavirus to attend his album listening party -- but fans can now get inoculated during the event at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois.
According to reports, the football stadium where Kanye is set to perform and play his upcoming album will provide more than 1,500 doses to fans who are willing to get the vaccination. If you are confused, so are we, but there might be a good explanation for the situation. Apparently, Kanye is not the one pushing his fans to get vaccinated, it's the people who run the venue itself -- ASM Global Management -- who are working with the city to make it happen!
Kanye West Concert: Music And A Shot Anyone?!
At this point, it's unclear how West feels about the city vaccinating his fans -- especially since he isn't making them show proof of it to attend the party. As for the shots, the doses will reportedly be split between the two-shot Pfizer one and the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccines. As for the two-shot version, officials from the Chicago Department of Health will be on-site to help set up appointments for the second dose.
This isn't the first time Kanye West has allowed vaccines inside of a listening party. Shots were available for Ye's Atlanta listening party, but not very many people took advantage of the situation. In fact, only 4 out of the 40,000 decided to roll up their sleeve to get the shot. It's not going to be a massive event, the site is the home of the Chicago Bears and is currently operating at a reduced capacity. Only 38,000 fans are being allowed inside the venue, instead of the usual 63,000.
Kanye West Recreating His Childhood Home Inside Soldier Field!
The event should be an intense experience after Kanye announced he would be completely recreating the house he grew up in to place right in the middle of Soldier Field. Pictures of the construction leaked online, and the scene looks amazing!
We will have to wait and see...
We broke the story, Kanye made huge waves this week after officially filing to legally change his name from 'Kanye Omari West' to just 'YE.' According to the documents, obtained by The Blast, Kanye did not explain why he has decided to formally change his name, only cited "personal" reasons for the change.
Just Call Me 'YE!'
The rapper is currently going through a divorce with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who will most likely be dropping the "West" from her name once the divorce is final. At this point, the couple is still unpacking their massive billion-dollar fortune and splitting up companies and cash they earned as a couple.
It should be noted, Kim has been very supportive during the album release process -- showing up to each of the listening parties with the couple's four children. In Atlanta, Kardashian even joined the group in wearing the custom outfits designed for the event.
