"The White Lotus," a US series that premiered July 11 on HBO, featured a lot of casts that were instantly recognized by most viewers.

The six-part satirical series which was fused with drama and comedy, 'White Lotus" told the story of the lives of privileged and affluent guests who lodged at a Hawaiian hotel. The first scene started with guests who arrived by boat at the hotel.

There's Armond, played by Murray Bartlett, who waited on the guests alongside members of his staff. There was also a performative significance of the action which was eventually explained by Bartlett as "tropical kabuki," an instance where a positive facade was put on regardless of the situation the hotel staff went through.

From there, an unraveling of complexities emerged from each of the guests, the hotel's staff, and even the environment itself. This series featured a group of A-list actors including Bartlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, Jolene Purdy, and several others. However, viewers found it easy to recognize each star-studded celebrity, and the reasons weren't far-fetched-- the series contained an ensemble of actors famed for both on the big and small screen.

The Mossbachers

Connie Britton and Steve Zahn, two big names stars, joined the list of casts on "White Lotus" to play Nicole and Mark Mossbacher. Britton-a 54-year-old actor, singer, and producer, has a long list of film credits to her name which includes, and is not limited to "Friday Nights Lights" for which she got an Emmy nomination and Fox’s "9-1-1."

This came after early roles in "The Brothers McMullen" and "Spin City." She later starred in the show "Nashville," so it’s safe to say she's not a newbie on the big screen. Zahn on the other hand, who played Nicole's husband with a health scare, came to the limelight following roles in the 1994 movie "Reality Bites." He was also known for movies like "Sahara" and "War for the Planet of Apes."

Olivia Mossbacher, played by Sydney Sweeney, pulled off an intimidating poolside force in the drama series. The 23-year-old has been in and out of IMDB credits for over a decade. She ground her arc by playing a role in the "Handmaid's Tale" film, as well as a character named Cassie, Lexi's older sister in "Euphoria." She also featured in "Under the Silver lake," "Big Time Adolescence," and as a creepy cult member alongside Brad Pitt in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."

Fred Hechinger, who played Quinn Mossbacher, deserved applause for paying attention to his role as a withdrawn socially awkward kid who cannot be overemphasized. This 21-year-old actor bagged major and defining roles in other movies like "The Woman in the Window," "Let Them talk," "Eighth Grade," and several others.

The Newlyweds

Daddario plays the newlywed Rachel. Things went well until they did not, as her mother-in-law, played by Molly Shannon, unexpectedly joined their getaway. Daddario burst onto the screen in 2010 when she landed the major role in the "Percy Jackson" franchise.

Since then, she's gone on to play roles in movies like "Texas Chainsaw 3D," "Baywatch," and others. The actress is also recognized for TV shows like "Parenthood," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "True Detective," and "New Girl." She also played a role in one episode of the "Soprano" series. Before playing Shane, the spoiled, cocky, honeymooner on "White Lotus," Jake Lacy was known for starring in "Girls," an HBO series, "How To Be Single," and finally played Pete in "The Office."

Furthermore, Shannon, who played the role of Shane's crazy mom, is a comedienne who was featured in "Wet Hot American Series" and "Enlightened" an HBO series.

The Lonely Traveller

Jennifer Coolidge, who played Tanya McQuoid in the series, continued to bedazzle viewers with comedic pizzazz. She was the lonely traveler who sought to find love and in the process, befriended the spa manager, Belinda (who was played by Natasha Rothwell).

Coolidge might be recognized in roles she played in "American Pie" or "Legally blonde."

However, a quick reminder is that she was also in Ariana Grande's music video for "Thank U, Next." It would appear that she has a list of arts in different dimensions to her name.

Rothwell's life is intertwined with Coolidge's at the resort. The 40-year-old actor and comedian is recognized in her roles in HBO's "Insecure."
