As a famous actor in Hollywood, there are times when you feel like the world is coming down on you. Sometimes, the characters and roles you play on screen, finds a way to seep into your off-screen life, which can be frustrating. However, with the help of fans and loved ones assuring you that everything is okay, you soon find yourself coping well.
Similarly, in a place like Hollywood that has recorded thousands of actors since its establishment, there will come a time when you clash with people that can sometimes go out of hand. This is the case between Michael Weatherly and television show host, James Corden.
Moving on, sometimes, when actor act like they would in movies in real life, it can lead to a number of unfounded problems. While he was coming up, Weatherly earned the nickname ‘prankster’ or ‘jokester’ for his numerous comic roles on television. He was also good at getting a good laugh out of his fans with pranks wars. The actor once pulled a hilarious one on his friend, Mark Hammon, during his birthday, which was exciting.
Although the star has a funny personality, he engaged in a public feud with Corden, which eventually led to a number of nasty pranks. Keep reading below to find out more about the gentlemen’s beef with one another.
The Beginning Of A Prank War
Weatherly and Corden were cool with one another, until the “NCIS” actor took things too far with his pranks, that no doubt received retaliations.
Initially, the actor would come on “The Late Late Show,” hosted by Corden, and they would discuss several interesting topics, as well as laugh with one another. However, the once cordial and beautiful friendship seemed to go down a dark alley when Weatherly tried to jokingly irritate the host in 2016.

While many may have perceived the initial jab as a joke, as did the actor, it soon turned around for the worst when initially, neither party involved in the situation wanted to call a truce, but one did. It’s unclear if the pair would go back to how it used to be, but for now, they are in a long-standing feud that does not seem like it would end anytime soon.
So, what exactly happened between these men that the internet cannot stop talking about? Let’s see.
The Billboard Prank
As the host of “The Late Late Talk,” Corden has done his job so well, that fans would not want to be looking up to another face on their screens, aside from his. Since the show premiered in 2015, the 43-year-old has handled the shows affairs adequately, and even got his face plastered on a huge billboard at the side of CBS’ Television City studio building.
But things seemed to change for the media personality, when Weatherly thought it would be better if his face went on the billboard instead while he was making plans to release his debut series titled “Bull,” produced by CBS Television Studios.

Of course, this was a way for the actor to jokingly poke at the host, whose face has been on the billboard all the while. Nevertheless, what he may not have considered when he was pulling the prank, was that Corden would retaliate with an even deeper jab. The pair literally took ‘All is fair in love and war’ too far.
The Retaliation
After seeing what Weatherly had done, Corden took it a step further by contracting one of his employees, Nate Fernald, to spray graffiti paint all over the billboard. At the time, this may have been seen as a mini retaliation, as the host’s face was literally stripped off the board. However, it was all he had at the time.
Weatherly on the other hand, retaliated when he visited Cordon’s show again, by contracting his daughter, no doubt a paint master who didn’t mind using walls. The father and daughter wrecked a few posters of the host plastered on the walls of the hallway in the CBS building, where Corden hosted his show.
A gif tweet showing the prank master and his daughter engaging in the act was posted by the actor’s series official page, and fans weighed in on it immediately. After this, Corden decided to give up on the pranks, and let it all go, or so we thought.
Continued Beef
After the “Bull” series premiere had passed, Weatherly did not give up the billboard space, as he used it again when CBS’ “SEAL Team” premiered in September 2017.
Apparently, the actor decided to feature David Boreanaz and Nate Fernald, the series stars’ faces on the billboard, which in turn angered Corden once again, as he expected that he could finally be allowed to take back his spot on the building.
The host swore never to be bullied out of his space again, and proceeded to use graffiti paint to write in bold letters; “The Late Show With James Corden.” He also threw in a pair of sunglasses and mustache on Boreanaz’s face, just in case the actor felt the heat coming down on him.
After this final statement from Corden, it was clear to the CBS team and Weatherly that he would not be joked with, so they ended the prank war and returned his face to the billboard.
