Lizzo is the latest celebrity to hop on the bandwagon of ditching hygienic products.
The singer recently revealed she is not one for armpit fragrance, aka deodorant.
Taking to her Instagram story on Thursday, August 19, the “Truth Hurts” singer reposted a post from Hollywood Unlocked about Matthew McConaughey foregoing deodorant usage.
In her repost she wrote, “Ok… I’m w him on this one…I stopped using deodorant and I smell BETTER.”
No Deodorant, No Worries
Sometimes the truth hurts.
Earlier this week, McConaughey revealed he is not a fan of the armpit quicker picker upper. In fact, he hasn’t been a fan of it for years.
There’s been a recent influx of celebs who have admitted to not showering themselves and their kids every day.
Back in 2004, McConaughey revealed he didn’t wear deodorant while discussing a movie he did with Kate Hudson. She bought him an all-natural rock salt which contained natural deodorants.
At the time he said, “I just never wore it,” McConaughey said, “No cologne, no deodorant. The women in my life, including my mother, have all said, ‘Hey, your natural smell smells, one, like a man, and, two, smells like you.'”
During and episode of “Armchair Expert,” Kunis said, “I don’t wash my body with soap every day.”
She continued, “But I wash pits and tits and holes and soles.” Interestingly, Kunis revealed the habit started as a matter of circumstance. “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child,” she said. Adding, “so I didn’t shower very much anyway.”
Kutcher agreed, adding, “I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that just delivers every time. Nothing else.”
Pits, Tits, Holes & Soles
“We bathed our children every single night prior to bed is like the routine and then somehow they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine and by George we had to start saying, ‘Hey, when’s the last time you bathed them?” Shepard said.
Bell chimed in saying, “Yeah, we forget.”
“I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink. Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up,” she said.
Jake Gyllenhaal is also not a fan of washing off his stank. It’s not a top priority for him.
