Soulja Boy Claims He's The New Owner Of Atari: But 'Dream Job' Belongs To Someone Else

Soulja Boy wants to be the first rapper to do everything! Unfortunately, all the things he wants to be first at are either not real or already taken. This hasn’t stopped the “Crank That” rapper from making unfounded claims anyway. His latest claim is that he is the “first rapper to own a video game company”. In a lengthy post on Instagram, the “Rick and Morty” rapper wrote, “They signed me to a deal to Atari. Big shoutout to Atari, to the whole staff. I’m about to revamp the company. We gon take Atari to the next level. Everybody go follow @Atari. I am now the owner of Atari. I own the video game company Atari.”

Previous Experience Required
The rapper claims that the veteran video game company, the one responsible for classics like Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and hold licenses for over 200 games was so impressed and “real proud of me and what I did with the Souja Boy Game console. I blew Soulja Boy Game up.” The very confused 31-year-old seems to believe that his own game console that he cannot prove has any proof of purchase was the pre-requisite for his getting this executive-level job. More importantly, he claims that because he brokered a “140 million deal” to sell his video game console, Atari wants in on whatever he has going on.
‘CEO Of Atari Is A Dream Job’
The rapper ended his announcement by reiterating that “Atari reached out and I just signed a deal with Atari. I signed two deals with Atari. First rapper to own a video game company.” Following in the rapper’s footstep the video game company decided to publicly share their announcement as well but it wasn’t exactly echoing Soulja Boy’s sentiments. “We know that CEO of Atari is a dream job, but that honor belongs to Wade Rosen.” This is coming from the official Twitter account of Atari. So fans are back at square one, unclear of what relationship the rapper actually has with the company if there is any relationship to speak of at all.

Stick To Music
It’s not like he doesn’t have anything else going on, the “She Make It Clap” rapper recently signed self-proclaimed “I Have No Chill” Chet Hanks to his SODMG record label. “Welcome my newest artist @chethanx to the family @sodmgrecordsllc,” he wrote alongside a video of himself and Hanks absolutely giddy over the viral music they are about to make together. The former actor shared the news on his Instagram page with the same video. He has already dipped his toe in the rap world with his “White Boy Summer” single but with a record label behind him, he is sure he will be able to do more.

‘Draaaake’
Soulja Boy may be excited about signing Hanks but he has long made claims that he is responsible for other "big moves" in the industry. The rapper went viral when he claimed that he “made Drake” or at least made it possible for there to be a Drake. He also claimed to be the “first rapper on YouTube”. Just like the Atari claim, those accusations were knocked down by fans and fellow rappers. Will Soulja Boy ever get that win he is so desperately seeking?
