Lady Gaga’s fans are voicing their disapproval of the singer’s alleged “abandonment” of her dog walker, who was famously shot while trying to save her animals from being kidnapped.
The ‘Poker Face’ singer is being dragged by her own fans on social media after the employee — Ryan Fischer — started his own GoFundMe page claiming he is homeless, running out of savings, and “surviving on donations from generous loved ones.” At this point, it is unclear what the singer has done for her famous employee, but obviously, he is in a position where he is forced to ask for help.
The GoFundMe page was shared by Fischer on Instagram where he included a video of himself in a hospital bed, and showing off the bullet wounds he received during the robbery. “At times I was scared. I was lonely. I felt abandoned and unsupported. I had long bouts of depression and doubt and self-pity,” he wrote.
“So here I am … I have a clear purpose but am at an obvious impasse. With no vehicle, apartment, and having run out of savings and surviving on donations from generous loved ones, I am humbly asking for your help,” Ryan said.
Obviously, Gaga fans are up in arms about someone who should be hailed as a hero in her life, struggling so bad financially. Remember, the singer was willing to offer up $500,000 for information leading to the safe return of her dogs. You would think she would be somehow taking care of the person who put their life on the line to save their lives.
“Lady gaga offered $500,000 to find her missing dogs but is allowing her dog walker to set up a GoFundMe because he’s now homeless and still struggling with his trauma, I don’t expect much from rich people but they never fail to amaze me,” one fan tweeted. Another added, “What is wrong what this woman, after having her dogs saved, she is so heartless not to help her dog walker.”
It should be noted, Gaga offered to pay his medical bills — which totaled around $100K — according to one report.
A few others were not so nice about what they perceive as an injustice. “WTF Lady Gaga?! This is unreal that the person who was shot trying to save your dogs from being stolen is struggling like this! I’m a fan but this is gross to me. How could you be so insensitive to the PTSD that he must have from this incident,” a fan posted.
In the message, Ryan says he has embarked on a road trip across the US to work through his depression and is hoping to purchase a vehicle and gather support for his journey. Along the way, Fischer says the money will also cover costs for “retreat centers, trauma programs, queer healers, creatives, and spiritual leaders.”
In the end, the goal of Ryan’s GoFundMe is $40,000 and it has raised $21,966 at the time of this posting. Lady Gaga hasn’t responded to the situation…yet…but we are guessing she is willing to help someone who put their life on the line for her family.
