'Real Housewives Of Dallas' Will Not Film Its Sixth Season Following Controversy

A long break! The cast of "Real Housewives of Dallas" will not be returning to filming for sixth season, as Us Weekly confirmed this report a few hours ago. The shocking revelation put fans in a devastated mood, as they wished the cast of the show all the best in their future endevors.

Bravo recently shared with the news outlet that although the show will not be returning for its sixth season, no official decision has been made to scrap it yet. It's also unclear if the producers of the show are contemplating canceling the show and why.

"There are currently no plans to bring 'The Real Housewives of Dallas' back next year and beyond and nothing official has been decided," Bravo told the news outlet.

While fans are dejected that they would not get to watch their favorites anytime soon, they are taking refuge in the the fact that Bravo has not yet given an official cancellation statement. So, although the cast has stopped filming for now, there is hope that they will be back soon to grace our screens.

A few weeks ago, speculations went viral on social media platforms that some of the cast of "RHOD" did not want to come back to filming season five of the show, however, none of them openly confirmed these rumors.

The first set of rumors began when a new cast member, Tiffany Moon, uploaded her Instagram bio with "previous cast member of #RHOD." This caused a widespread ruckus on the platform as well as Twitter, when fans began to drop guesswork comments.

Seeing that her bio had gone farther than she may have anticipated, the reality star immediately took down the bio, and changed it to "Season 5 cast member #RHOD." Sadly, her previous bio had already resonated with viewers online, hence the notion that the reality show was not planning to come back for season five.

Us Weekly reported that a close party revealed that Moon had no plans to leave the show, especially after she had entertained fans with her 'explosive debut as a main cast member in season five.'

When it comes to reality shows and housewives never believe that all the drama is filmed for viewers to see. There's always the likelihood that the housewives engage in backstage drama.

In March, Moon opened up about battling racism and segregation as the only Asian housewife in the mix, following Brandi Redmond's resurfaced viral video, where she sneered at the Asian-American community. She went on to say that it did not occur to her that battling with racism was something she would still be doing now.

"I never thought that we would be tackling issues such as racism and inequality on a show as this. I thought it was supposed to be fun and fluffy," she said during a discussion with Vice in the same month. A few days after Moon's interview with the news outlet, Redmond gave a hearty apology about the insensitive video.

In total, "RHOD" would have featured 11 housewives in "RHOD" season six, these include; Brandi Redmond, Stephanie Hollman, D'Andra Simmons, LeeAnne Locken, Kameron Westcott, Kary Brittingham, Tiffany Moon, Cary Deuber, Tiffany Hendra, Marie Reyes, and Rich Emberlin.

Reunions are always an anticipated moment for viewers of this show because they get to see their favorites clash with one another, or team up to slam another housewife. From Kameron's repulsiveness towards Brandi, to the long-standing between Marie Reyes and LeeAnne Locken that stemmed from an accusation.

In the first season a major conflict ensued between Locken and Deuber, after the former disclosed that the latter started a relationship with Marc Deuber while he was still married to his ex. This quickly spiralled into a frenzy online, as the rumor pit the housewives and their fan against each other online for weeks.

All these and more will fans miss now that the show has wrapped up filming indefinitely.

The executive producers of the show include; John Paparazzo, Andy Cohen, Adam Karpel, Andrew, Rich Bye, and Samantha Billett. Initially, the show kicked off with Cary Deuber, Tiffany Hendra, Stephanie Hollman, LeeAnne Locken, and Brandi Redmond.

Over the years, more housewives joined the show including the newest member, Tiffany Moon. The show centers on the lives and challenges of the housewives as they battle ups and downs in every new episode. The fifth and final season of the show premiered on January 5, 2021 in the same city.

This season aired 15 episodes in total, before bidding viewers goodbye on August 17, 2021.
