Dr Dre's Daughter Says She Is Living Out of Her Car

It's been a tough couple of years for Dr. Dre's oldest daughter, or so she claims. LaTanya Young recently had a sit down with the Daily Mail to go public about her situation. As a single mother of 4 she's had a hard time making ends meet. So much so that she's ended up living out of her car. LaTanya claims that she has received no financial help from her father for about a year and a half. The relationship is naturally not in a good place.

Why is LaTanya going public with all of this? She's potentially looking at this as her last hope to get some help from Dre. According to Young, she isn't able to contact her father directly, instead, she has to get through to him by contacting members of his staff. She'd been told by Dre's lawyer in the past that the reason she didn't get any money from his was the fact that she spoke about him in the press. LaTanya reasons though,

"His lawyer has said that my dad doesn’t want to help me because I’ve spoken about him in the press,” she explained, then said, “I feel like I’m damned if I do, I’m damned if I don’t."

Young detailed a bit of her journey that has led her down this path. She described that she had a job at a warehouse that paid her $15 an hour. She'd been living in Las Vegas, but decided to move to California in hope of finding a more stable job. Things just haven't panned out. Now she is working as a freelance delivery driver for Uber Eats, and Door Dash. Her 4 kids are currently not living out of her car with her. Instead, they are staying with friends.

Pretty soon, she could potentially lose her car as well! That's probably the main reason that she's decided to speak out. Dre's daughter detailed that the car she has in an SUV that is on a pretty expensive rental contract. Trying to do deliveries in a car that's going to use up a lot of gas isn't ideal. When you add to that, the fact that the car isn't hers, it's easy to understand the severity of the situation. Young didn't say what she planned to do if she wasn't able to keep the car that she'd been living out of.

Very recently, Dr. Dre's newest ex-wife Nicole Young won a settlement that forces the music mogul to pay her 300k a month! This news didn't sit too well with Dre's next of kin, who are having a hard time financially. LaTanya Young commented on the settlement saying,

"It’s embarrassing because people are looking at me wondering: Why?” she said. “What Nicole has got is what my mom should have got.”
