Kyle Richards was recently caught in a very dangerous moment after she was attacked by a swarm of bees. The reality star is allergic and frantically called 911 after she couldn't work her EpiPen.
The 'Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' star dialed 911 after being swarmed by a giant pack of bees, and knowing she was allergic to the stings, she called for emergency help. In new audio, released from the scary event, Kyle can be heard desperately trying to open the lifesaving device -- with help from the dispatcher.
In the audio, Kyle admits to the 911 operator "I don't know how to use it" after she finds the device inside her home. "I can't get it out," she says after attempting to remove it from the case. At this moment, the operator calmly advises her that help is already on the way -- and tries walking her through the removal process. The operator simply tells her to twist off the yellow or green cap to expose the needle on the inside. "Twist it off like it's a soda," he tells the reality star.
The Insane Security Footage!
But, it is no use...and she tells him "I can't get it out!"
It's a very scary moment, and Kyle begins to tell the emergency dispatcher "Help me!" as she continues to try and inject herself with the life-saving device.
According to multiple reports, the incident took place last week in Encino, CA where Kyle was attacked by a swarm of bees in her backyard. The reality star posted terrifying security footage of the scary incident followed by a photo from her hospital bed after being rushed to a nearby facility. Kyle also gave a shout-out to the fire department for helping save her life.
Inside The Hospital!
"So this happened yesterday...I walked into a hive of bees and was stung multiple times. If you know me at all you know I am allergic to bees and terrified of them," Richards captioned the hospital picture. She continued, "I share this story with you because I sometimes don't bother to take my EpiPen with me. I also don't know why I couldn't get mine to work. It's important to look on your tube and watch the videos of how to use it. There are different types of epi-pens and they work differently. But, also always call 911 even if you are able to use your EpiPen as they have to use other medications to help your breathing, etc."
Lesson Learned
The good news, Kyle appears to be fully recovered. The reality star received treatment inside of a local hospital and was able to walk out of the facility without any major side effects from the scary situation. In the end, it is a good lesson for anyone allergic to anything. Make sure you know where and how to use your EpiPens! And, like she said, always call 911!
