Influencer Gabi DeMartino Raises $10,000 For Police Misconduct Awareness

Social media influencer Gabi DeMartino just raised a huge amount of money using her massive platform to voice support for a cause that is dear to her heart.

The 'YouTube' star joined the fight against police misconduct in the United States by pushing her millions of followers to donate to the important cause. We're told Gabi partnered with Emma Hepburn Ferrer, the granddaughter of legendary actress Audrey Hepburn, to raise money for the National Police Accountability Project (NPAP).

We're told after Emma researched this charity and Gabi learned of their mission, the pair made bringing awareness to the organization their top priority. After a year of promoting NPAP, Gabi raised an astounding $10,000 for the charity and it doesn't look like she is stopping any time soon.

“I’ve got a massive platform and this cause meant so much to me that I had to find a way to use it to help out in any way. My eyes have been opened over the past few years to the systemic injustice that plagues our police system. There is no easy solution, but we need greater education for the police force, better evaluation processes to filter cops who have racist views or aggressive behavior patterns, and we need this now. This fight doesn’t stop until it’s over," Gabi said recently.

She continued, "That’s why I’m soon going to launch another Go Fund Me for this cause, with double the goal of our previous campaign. $20,000. The money absolutely goes a long way, but the awareness and education I hope my fans get out of this lead to them taking their own initiative as well in fighting injustice in our police system."

Adding, “NPAP heavily relies on individual donations and we have to keep our audiences aware of this everyday issue that affects millions of Americans.”

According to our sources, Gabi has plans for a massive social media campaign that will rally her followers and other massive influencers to make donations to NPAP and hit a much bigger reach. Gabi has a long history of passionately raising awareness and funds for causes close to her heart. DeMartino, who has battled lung issues her whole life, raised thousands of dollars last year for the American Lung Association.
