Kailyn Lowry and her entire family have COVID-19 and the reality star is now apologizing for possibly spreading the virus.
The ‘Teen Mom’ star broke her silence on the situation on her podcast — ‘Baby Mamas No Drama’ — which she hosts with Vee Rivera. In the most recent episode, Lowry and Rivera (who is the wife of her ex and father of her 11-year-old son) revealed they were BOTH battling the coronavirus.
“For those of you guys listening who don’t know, Vee and I have Covid,” Lowry said as the podcast began. “We’re Covid queens,” joked Vee. Kailyn apologized for possibly being the one who spread the virus to her co-star and other family members. “I am so sorry. I think, honestly, we brought it home from the Dominican Republic,” she explained.

In the show, Lowry explained that she and her family tested negative for the virus while on vacation and again after returning from overseas. But, the reality star is regularly tested by MTV in order to film the reality show, so it was highlighted at some point in the past few days.
“I knew because I felt like s— all week,” said Lowry. Adding, “once I lost my taste and my smell, I knew what it was. I knew.
As we reported, Kailyn and co-star Leah Messer took their families to the beautiful country for a summer vacation. The trip and the beach looked amazing. But, obviously, there is some risk to traveling on an airplane or out of the country.
“I think it was the same for me. I was with you Sunday and I was perfectly fine,” said Rivera, who explained she thought at first she came down with a cold or was just worn out from a day at the water park with her family. But, the virus “took (her) out,” she explained — saying she was forced to be in “bed all day” and felt “like straight up s—.”
‘Teen Mom’ Star Apologizes For Possibly Spreading Virus
Incredibly, Kailyn revealed this is actually the second time she has suffered from the virus. She got COVID-19 last after a trip to Iceland — and her son Lincoln had it back in March of this year. Both of them are now suffering from the virus for a second time. “I felt bad, we were on vacation. I would not have been around people if I knew I had Covid, but I tested negative twice, Lowry explained.
“So all the kids have it. They’re all asymptomatic really,” Lowry said. Adding, “I wouldn’t have podcasted with you on Sunday, but I already had negative tests. Even a negative test after I podcasted with you.”
As we said, ‘Teen Mom’ co-star Leah Messer and her family were on the Dominican Republic vacation, but no word on whether they have come down with the virus. But, on Monday, Leah revealed she had been vaccinated for the virus.
In the end, Kailyn’s co-host said “I’m grateful that I don’t have these crazy symptoms and didn’t end up in the hospital. I am 100% vaccinated, so that could have helped me.”
