If you’re wondering why you haven’t seen much of Kit Harington after his role as John Snow in "Game of Thrones," it may be because he spent some time in rehab after the show. Harington said in a recent interview that he had checked himself into a rehab facility shortly after the show ended. Claiming that he was dealing with stress and alcohol-related issues. The actor has found new life through the birth of his son. Now he seems ready to get himself back on the horse.

There was an issue that forced Harington’s hand and ultimately led to his decision to head to rehab. Back in 2018 Harington was kicked out of a NYC bar due to being highly intoxicated. Details from that incident are kind of blurry. Due to the fact that allegedly Harington came back and paid his bill while then leaving a huge tip for the staff. The staff claimed that he was actually a nice guy. Why did they kick him out then? They only saw how nice he really was after he left them a good tip? Anyway, that incident ultimately led to Harington going to rehab.

Kit Harington certainly threw some shade at GOT in his recent interview on SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show”. Apparently, there was something happening on set that Harington believes could be to blame for some of his troubles. He mentioned about his final days on the show,

“I went through some mental health difficulties after ‘Thrones’ — and during the end of ‘Thrones,’ to be honest — and I think it was directly to do with the nature of the show and what I’ve been doing for years,”

“What we were gifted with this was forced time together. And because of that, we ended up having a baby,”

Harington also talked about going through a “profound and amazing experience” in this last year and a half. Of course, referencing the fact that he became a father.

Kit initially planned to only take one year off from acting after Game of Thrones. Then a little thing called the pandemic, hit and that is why he hasn’t really gotten a chance to scope out different opportunities.

The actor who will be turning 35 at the end of the year says he is ready to go. It may not be long then before we see him back on a hit film. Although, from Harington’s own words, he may not be getting too many offers. He mentioned on his comeback,

“Coming back to work and deciding what to take and what to choose, you know, you couldn’t predict the pandemic, so just when I was wanting to come back to work, the pandemic hit, so I was like, ‘Ugh, for God’s sake,'”
