Matt Damon Reveals He Just Stopped Using The 'F-Slur'

It’s 2021 and Matt Damon is finally getting his language in line with the times, or as they say 'politically correct.'
The Academy Award winner recently opened up about how his daughter helped him change the way he speaks about people/ certain groups of people.
Damon admitted that he recently stopped using a homophobic slur.
The change in vernacular comes after he learned about “changes in modern masculinity.”
It's never too late to make changes!
The “Stillwater” actor opened up to The Sunday Times in a recent interview about how his daughter influenced a change in the way he speaks.
“The word that my daughter calls the ‘f-slur for a homosexual’ was commonly used when I was a kid, with a different application,” he told the publication.
“I made a joke, months ago, and got a treatise (essay) from my daughter. She left the table. I said, ‘Come on, that’s a joke! I say it in the movie ‘Stuck on You!”” Damon said. “She went to her room and wrote a very long, beautiful treatise on how that word is dangerous. I said, ‘I retire the f-slur!’ I understood.”
Damon, who shares four daughters with his wife Luciana Barroso, did not specify which daughter set him straight, but it's refreshing to hear he learned a valuable lesson from a younger generation.
All In The Family!
Comedian and actor Billy Eichner tweeted, “I want to know what word Matt Damon replaced f***** with.”
I want to know what word Matt Damon has replaced f****t with.

One person commented on Eichner’s post, “File this under disgusting and hard to believe: A few months ago, Matt Damon was having a meal with his kids & referred to a gay man as a “f*****.” His kids told him that wasn’t cool. Months ago? 2021 and Damon did not know that was not okay? Gross.”
Another outraged person commented, “This story has made me sick to my stomach. First, it shouldn’t have taken his daughter to teach him not to say it. To think he was on “Will & Grace” and was probably using the word behind their backs, while cashing in the check. Disgusting.”
Despite learning a very valuable lesson, albeit very late in life, people are not happy about Damon’s slang revelation.
One thing Damon isn’t happy about is the way his daughters watch movies. He explained to ‘TST’ that he is infuriated by the way his daughters stop and pause a movie to chat in between scenes.
“The way they watch is different to how we did,” he explained to the outlet. “How can you watch a movie if you are texting? As someone who makes these things I can’t say I love that. Movies as we know them aren’t going to be a thing in our kids’ lives. And that makes me sad."
